RE: The eosDAC YouTube Channel Was Taken Down and We Need Your Help!

Great post!

This is very similar to the problem BTC is facing today. How do you allow for complete privacy; a decentralized service/good/currency to continue to grow without regulation?

This is why DAPPS are essentially the wild west of tech.

It makes everything difficult for legislators. Much like the discovery of nuclear fission by a German nuclear physicist in 1933; who discovered that upon splitting an atom the reaction was a massive surge of energy equal to over 30,000,000 volts of electricity. Naturally, he was very excited.

He believed his discovery would revolutionize mankind by providing an alternative source of nuclear energy thus eliminating civilization's dependence on natural gas; which would reduce carbon emissions and make the world a safer/cleaner/less hostile place. This of course was during the rise of fascism.

All the politicians of the time (first Nazi Germany, than Churchill than FDR with the Manhattan Project) heard was massive surge of electricity and their immediate question was "can this be used to make a bomb" at which point that physicist's heart must've sank into his stomach.

"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" - Robert Oppenheimer after the trinity testing.

This is why I cannot emphasize the importance of having an active community regulate EoS/Dtube/DAPPS in general.

Without the community playing their part; we can clearly see how something with so many positive benefits: transparency, openness, lack of regulation can be turned into something dangerous.

The future of blockchain and EoS is contingent on the community's ability to maintain it.
