EOS On Ledger: Still Good For Airdrops...?

in eos •  2 months ago

So the good news is out:

EOS is now supported on Ledger cold storage wallets.

Now...

Can anyone confirm that if we keep our EOS tokens on Ledger, we'll still receive any EOS airdrops to that address, the same as though we were to keep them on an official EOS wallet?

UPDATE:

It appears instructions on how to do this are provided here:

Ledger Nano S now supports EOS

It would seem that the airdrop question would be yes, as the app in question creates a new EOS account. However, it is also worth noting that there is a $6 fee to create a new EOS account.

I am curious as well. I was super happy to hear that there is Ledger support, but I'm eager to hear someone answer before I jump in. I am also curious what your personal favorite EOS DApp is so far?

I totally haven’t been following news and honestly have no clue of what’s being developed on it, other than ONO and some random game I saw once...

I don't think it's receivable any airdrops now

Is this merely opinion or can you confirm...?

Have tried an Airdrop 2 months ago but didn't received but can't be sure that Airdrop might be a scam only.

Will try ask someone

It’s on ledger live app, or just the manager part where you can use the device for eos app access elsewhere? If the latter you should get airdrops just fine, since ledger is just doing password mgmt. if the former, I highly doubt it given their pace of adding coins to their app they already have in their manager.

It’s accessed through a third-party app, which is downloadable through the Ledger Live app...

I'm running version 1.1.6 and I can't add an EOS account. Assuming this is most up to date, you can only add the password protection to your ledger under Manager. So you'd still be using a normal EOS app with a wallet address provided by that. I'm guessing most of the EOS wallets out there are set up to receive the airdrops.

I dont think you will recive any airdrops.

Think, or can you actually confirm...?

Its good if it can take airdrop man

@rok-sivante, Still i haven't used the Cold Wallets but in my opinion it's an effective way and one of the safest way to keep our coins for sure, and this is good to hear.

And in my opinion after sometime we heard the update, and in my opinion at this moment any update is an boost because this time is dynamic and no matter it is Product or Update we have to find the Inspiration.

And for sure EOS already created an great place in the Crypto Sphere and for sure, the updates and services regarding EOS for sure closely observed.

And we all know that Crypto Sphere is dynamic and we should follow the effective way and we have to be vigilant to safeguard our Crypto Coins for sure.

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂

Not looking for opinions or extended commentary here, but for confirmation of a simple yes/no question.
