EOS Network Achieves 3,000 TPS During Airdrop

During a recent airdrop, EOS reached an impressive 3,097 transactions per second for a brief period of time before settling back down again.

Not bad considering EOS is still in just its 2nd month of running and regardless of all the EOS haters out there, it is screaming past BTC and ETH in terms of performance. I mean, its not even close...

Its currently bouncing between 0 TPS and 1,000 TPS mainly because the blocks are completed so fast (sub 1 second) you will see a lot more variation in the block sizes than you will on a network that completes a block every 10 minutes. So anyone that says a lot of the blocks are empty is helping prove the point of EOS...there's a ton of availability and they haven't even touched parallelism yet which if it works will add tons of additional capacity. Good thing it was designed with that in mind from the beginning.

How long will it be before people start staying that ETH was never meant to compete with Enterprise Level DAPP platforms and was only meant to be a "long term store of value"??? The Silver to Bitcoin's Gold...
