How to Register EOS Tokens Using MetaMask (Guide for First Timers/Beginners)

Requirements:

• MetaMask installed and unlocked (an account is already created)
• There should be a couple of ETH in this wallet to cover fees (you will understand it later), approximately a dollar or two of equivalent ETH.

HERE'S THE GUIDE: PART I

1. Go to the website eos.io
2. Click GET EOS.
3. Check all the boxes and hit CONTINUE.
4. Scroll down until you see PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS, hit REGISTER.

You will see these instructions under MetaMask Registration

1. Unlock your MetaMask in google chrome.
2. Select the 'account' where you're putting your EOS.
3. Access the EOS token distribution interface
4. Wait for the interface to load.

PART II (NEW TAB)

1. Click on the 'Register EOS keys' button.
2. Wait for EOS keys to be generated.
3. Backup your keys and keep them safe.
4. Enter your private key in the Confirm private key field.
5. Click I have safely backed up my private key to proceed. AGAIN, BACK UP YOUR KEYS PLEASE.

PART III (METAMASK)

1. Wait for MetaMask to load.
2. Review the transaction on MetaMask, make sure the Amount is set to 0
3. You're going to need ETH for gas (this is the other fees I was referring to earlier) and to process this.
4. If you have enough ETH, you can just click Submit to submit the transaction. If your ETH isn't enough, you'd have the option to buy more and add it to your wallet. Once you're all good, click submit.
5. Check if everything went right here .

FAQs:
1.) Why register?
By June 1, EOS tokens will be frozen and "converted" to EOS COINS. Unregistered tokens will hold no value after.

2.) How many times do I have to register?
Registration is only required once for each Ethereum address, even if this address is used multiple times to participate in the EOS Token distribution. (eos.io)

3.) Can I move my coins from time to time?
Yes, you can, but make sure you have them all in the registered wallet before June 1st to make sure they're "converted". You're registering the ETH Wallet's address, not the COINS.
