EOS: The DarkSide ..
In the Crypto-Universe, EOS is the DeathStar!
I am very excited about EOS .. if you have been in the Telegram chat you may have come across some of my semi-coherent declarations of total plant-wide domination .. of it easily hitting $20 - $ 30 before the end of the ICO period, so on and so forth .. all of which I stand by with unblinking confidence.
But consider for a moment folks .. the consequences of this new, "next level" technology - one that far surpasses anything that has been launched, or is about to be ..
- BLAZINGLY FAST (have you waited 'hours' for a Bitcoin transfer lately? Yes you have!)
- MOST ADVANCED PROGRAM-ABILITY (been WOW'D! by an Ethereum contract lately!?)
- NO TRANSACTION COSTS (think about the expense of Ethereum!)
- CURRENT "SIMPLE" CURRENCIES CAN RUN ON IT / CAN BE EMULATED
With this in mind, all those shitcoins out there, with their over-hyped and totally vaccuous claims about faster this, or more options that, total privacy and multi-sig ... lol .. multi-sig!? Where are we ... the 1990s!? All of these charlatans and get rich quick scammers, will be little more than flotsam and jetsam in EOS' wake.
Of course this means that the ICO churn-n-burn that many out there have grown to love .. well, I was going to say that they might be a thing of the past, but no .. now we'll be talking about investing in DAPPs! Sure there may be tokens, but perhaps not .. the ability to design complex applications that deliver real value to users and investors, will be here - no more pure speculation.
This is why I call EOS The DeathStar .. an instrument of renewal and forced evolution in a slow and static universe of inadequacy .. an end to go nowhere high-school level science experiments, and pseudo-decentralized vapor-ware. The day is fast approaching when our previous too-low expectations and low-quality blockchain-based products will be laid waste ...

LTC is great! There has been a lot of money going into R&D, and Charlie Lee is a superstar once more. Do both! ... something that might help speed your accumulation (worked for me) .. is to invest in LTC Cloud Mining on Hashnest .. the price is fairly stable, and you can extract your investment at any time .. just be careful if LTC starts to tank.

The potential in EOS is great, but you can never go wrong with LTC. :)
I think it is legit, but let's see how it devolves.
I think it was hyped because of its big ICO, even EOS stating they had no idea it would be that big, then it boomed 325% then dropped, now leveling out. Not sure how much room there is for it to grow.
Waited weeks before their launch, then the US IP DETECTED blocked me, so I'm hesitant, but if you recommend it Kurt that its NOT A TARP, then ill look for into it. Bought a bunch of the new WTT tokens coming out too, look into those.
Thanks Roy .. purchasing on Kraken and Bitfinex, undoubtedly Polo & Bittrex soon as well. The price difference between the ICO and the exchange, on some days, is not as large as we would have hoped. Or... you can VPN into the ICO! :-)
I definitely have a wait-and-see approach as a US person re: EOS, but with the 1 year window we have time to wait and see what happens with the 8/1 Bitcoin debacle. I really think only the stupid money is in EOS at this valuation, maybe I'm wrong.

my main points of consern are:
There is much discussion going around that EOS is a scam. This is down to two key points:
EOS TOKENS HAVE NO RIGHTS, USES OR ATTRIBUTES. The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features on the EOS Platform. Company does not guarantee and is not representing in any way to Buyer that the EOS Tokens have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features.
NOT A PURCHASE OF EOS PLATFORM TOKENS. EOS Tokens purchased under this Agreement are not tokens on the EOS Platform. Buyer acknowledges, understands and agrees that Buyer should not expect and there is no guarantee or representation made by Company that Buyer will receive any other product, service, rights, attributes, functionalities, features or assets of any kind whatsoever, including, without limitation, any cryptographic tokens or digital assets now or in the future whether through receipt, exchange, conversion, redemption or otherwise.
PURCHASE OF EOS TOKENS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND PURCHASES CANNOT BE CANCELLED. BUYER MAY LOSE ALL AMOUNTS PAID.
EOS TOKENS MAY HAVE NO VALUE.
COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE OR CANCEL EOS TOKEN PURCHASE REQUESTS AT ANY TIME IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION.
As such, there does not appear to be a set in stone definition of what the exact function of each token has – if any - on the EOS platform.
No U.S. Buyers. The EOS Tokens are not being offered to U.S. persons. U.S. persons are strictly prohibited and restricted from using the EOS Distribution Contract, using the EOS Token Contact and/or purchasing EOS Tokens and Company is not soliciting purchases by U.S. persons in any way. If a U.S. person uses the EOS Distribution Contract, uses the EOS Token Contract and/or purchases EOS Tokens, such person has done so and entered into this Agreement on an unlawful, unauthorized and fraudulent basis and this Agreement is null and void.
