That's right, another way to earn for creating quality content! I was all ears because we all know that the struggle gets real if you only create content on one platform. Steemit is a wonderful platform that I have enjoyed creating content for, but it surely never hurts to expand your reach and introduce your content to audiences beyond just a single platform. If you are anything like me then you prefer anything that's NOT Facebook.

TRYBE is a Beta status platform-in-the-making, so it is similar to Steemit in that much will likely change as the ecosystem grows.

I Joined the TRYBE Beta

I love to create all sorts of content that brush across a vast spectrum of topics - this is tough on the followers. I say it is tough on followers because many readers prefer niche-based authors rather than unchained & wild creators, like myself. I found TRYBE has a great niche-oriented setup where readers can find helpful content across topics like Crypto, EOS, Business, and so forth. I think that rough organization of content is great because I know what I can expect and the content that I have browsed so far is relevant and good quality/well written.

TRYBE CONTENT RATING SYSTEM

Tokens for receiving ratings:

For a rating of 1 or 2 stars – you LOSE tokens
For a rating of 3 stars – no tokens are lost or rewarded
For a rating of 4 or 5 stars – you are REWARDED tokens

Readers are in control in terms of how content is rewarded. This is similar to Steemit in that poor quality or plagiarized content can be flagged (removing rewards), so another mechanism with good intent that can still be used inappropriately. But....is there a perfect system? I suppose that a quality user base is a key to success for any platform. I think it will be interesting to see this platform launch on EOS later this year and how the community adapts to use this new environment.

EARNING

I love platforms that allow people to share knowledge in a way that is both rewarding for the reader & creator. Another reason I have spent nearly one year creating on Steemit whenever my time permits; it's far more rewarding than Facebook and has afforded me some great new friends in the process who share interests. Not to mention the actual rewards that one can earn via sharing content on a platform like Steemit and now TRYBE and several others. This is excellent news for everyone that is struggling to build a reputation as a quality content creator!

I love that content creators can earn USD $ for creating courses, articles, and other content that readers can pay to subscribe to or purchase at the price that YOU, the creator, decide on TRYBE. In addition to having the option to publish your content for a price or share it for free, activity can earn you tokens in this platform. This opens up incentive for activity and also drives the overall market for quality content higher. This empowers creators and I believe these types of platforms are the future because creatives are tired of the world capitalizing off of their work while they gain nothing. FB rakes in BILLIONS of the activity of their users while they get nothing in return except misuse of their trust - not a fair trade in my honest opinion. I'm happy to see this new arena starting to grow and I hope that my fellow creators here on Steemit will join me.
