Our Statement on Constitution 2.0 by Dan Larimer

in #eos6 years ago (edited)

We have recently been experiencing something of unprecedented but yet somewhat predicted chain of events occuring in our EOS ecosystem undermining our current Constitution, related to the block producer votes.

We believe that it will bring a rather significant and catastrophic impact on us as a whole. Currently some exchanges are having a massive effect on the top 21 block producers whereby some of newly elected producers are not following the protocol or the compliance to at least a transparency.

All the block producers candidates including the top 21 are rather concerned about the current affair and the consequent effect it may bring to the whole EOS ecosystem.

Dan Larimar of B1 recently posted a proposal of Constitution v2.0, referring the intent of the code as the new guide to our young system based on this annoucement.

We also wish to share an article from Roman at Cryptolions which was helpful for us and we believe it will be helpful to all our community in Korea to understand what the issue is and let us know what you think.

Also it is not going to be a quick progress as the proposed Constitution will need to go through the referendum.

Before EOSeoul makes a decision, we will consult and discuss with our community first.
