CAUTION! - Have you really read the EOS-agreement? If you plan to invest, read the agreement first.

Its seems as the agreement concludes that EOS-token will have no use on EOS-platform

I can quote on one of the most profound statements in the agreement:

EOS TOKENS HAVE NO RIGHTS, USES OR ATTRIBUTES.
The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or
implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or
features on the EOS Platform. Company does not guarantee and is not representing in
any way to Buyer that the EOS Tokens have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes,
functionalities or features.
NOT A PURCHASE OF EOS PLATFORM TOKENS. EOS Tokens purchased under
this Agreement are not tokens on the EOS Platform. Buyer acknowledges, understands
and agrees that Buyer should not expect and there is no guarantee or representation
made by Company that Buyer will receive any other product, service, rights, attributes,
functionalities, features or assets of any kind whatsoever, including, without limitation,
any cryptographic tokens or digital assets now or in the future whether through receipt,
exchange, conversion, redemption or otherwise.

This must not be seen as investment advice, but do your research. And if you already bought in, there is still a possibility that your investment can work for you.

TAKE CARE!

Isn't that the same for most ICOs though?

I believe the reason for this is because they don't want people to be confused by the difference between offering tokens and EOS network tokens, which are different things. Investors aren't buying any EOS network tokens because they can't. The EOS network does not exist yet.
Instead, investors are buying the Ethereum token that will represent the proportional share of the tokens they will issue when the EOS market is created.
I do not think that this means the EOS offering is totally legitimate, but I do not think that the disclaimer itself is cause for alarm.

Wow... that's just shocking. I feel bad for everybody who invested thinking they were buying tokens for the platform.

Yeah, I was really close as well! ... wish I could have warned people before, but I was planning to go in on the last day, if ETH volume was reasonable.

Yeah I was toying with the idea of investing too. So thanks for bringing it up.

Thanks for the appriciation :) good night!
