Why is @Ned down-voting EOS posts?

in #eos7 years ago (edited)

I just don't get it. Why is @ned downvoting EOS posts? I hear nothing but positive things about Steem when listening to Dan and Brenden speak.

They use Steem as a shining example of how awesome DPoS is and the ability to build a strong community and support the most active on-chain activity.

Also, the EOS posts decline the payout, so this is essentially @ned trying to censor content that is NOT outside of the normal content guidelines. Seems to be a clear abuse of power.

Is this turning in to /r/bitcoin?

Example #1: https://steemit.com/eos/@eosio/eos-io-dawn-2-0-released-and-development-update

Example #2: https://steemit.com/eos/@dan/inter-blockchain-communication-via-merkle-proofs-with-eos-io

Thoughts?

it's really strange this why I am afraid to write something about eos

exactly. This completely proves my point. Thank you.

Haters gonna hate, dog. We just have to keep spreading the love ;)

Man, I've had my fill of the crypto-ego wars.

What ever happened to just making great things and letting them stand or fall on their own merrits?

As long as I've been in Bitcoin/crypto, there's always been a villan.

  1. SatoshiDice
  2. Ripple
  3. ETH (after the DAO fork)
  4. Bitcoin Cash
  5. Dash "instamine"

It just doesn't stop, and if I point out how fast or cheap another coins is to use, I get attacked by Bitcoiners.

Hmmmm! Really can't say but there is more to this. I do believe everyone is allowed to speak their mind, nevertheless @ned down-voting EOS post shows a deferent meaning to the eyes of people.... Nice post @ashe-oro

What evidence to you have about @ned downvoting eos post, maybe it's simply a bad article to waste our time. Don't you think?

@yehey

do those seem like "bad articles" that will waste your time?

Not at all. I read that article too.
I wonder it makes a difference if @Dan posted the article instead of eosio.

did you see my 2nd example? That was posted by Dan.

just seems funny. Trying to understand the incentives for doing that. It's not like the EOS posts are looking to make money here, so he's basically flagging them to hide the content and censor it.

That's is. Simple messed up..... Sorry to say

In the world of business even bad publicity can be good. Trying to censor without justified cause will only bring more attention to what this guy is trying to take attention away from. I really hope this isn't turning into /r/bitcoin. I've always stayed away from reddit for a reason. Let's not turn steem into reddit 2.0 where people end up being afraid to post because of whales that don't like anything. Play nice in the pond. Bad content wouldn't generate any money, so why are people hating. The only thing that bothers me about EOS is that I am in the US.

@ashe-oro Is it just a way to get back at @dan or is there some deeper meaning to this down vote ??

i'm not sure. Maybe doing what he can to suppress EOS info from spreading on his platform? I'm all for private property and think ned should be able to do whatever he wants with his SP.

EOS is a platform that may, and probably will, compete directly with Steem and Smart Media Tokens. That, and there's a good chance Ned doesn't care for the manner in which Dan parted from Steemit, or handled his position when he was with Steemit.

Those are just a few reasons that come immediately to mind as possibilities. Of course, I can't speak for the man.

there's one way to get all the BTS and EOS supporters to abandon Steem, and this is it.

totally agree...i think its really petty...im not sure its something ned want to battle...dan is the tha man...you dont mess with dan as he holds most of the keys.....if ned keeps this shit up i will change my mind and take my investment elsewhere...as little at it is but if you include all the other dans followers it could mean the end for steem...just saying...and i 1.bts..2eos..3.steem...i was planning on putting a million in steem but if he keeps doing this petty shit then ima go elsewhere...

There are Chinese and Japanese projects like
https://tronlab.com/
https://yoyow.org/
https://alismedia.jp/
All inspired from STEEM. I even invested in Tron ICO only to be refunded due to China Ban. There is only so much power a single account can have. Steemit isn't lost. It's simply not good enough.

Well...there are innumerable ways, but, yeah, I agree that he should be a little more...erm, politically correct in his decisions, especially when they make him look like he's butt-hurt or jealous about/over Dan and/or EOS.

I think you're on to somthing here...

Downvotes are not used here but it is still using STEEM

great post!!
