📜 Hangout Decree
This RSVP post will go out weekly as a place for people to sign up as speakers for various topics of importance to bitshares as we prepare for an Open Source Hangout. The reason it is done this way is to enable anyone to show up to receive coverage on topics they feel matter to the community and crypto space in general. Most places in cryptomedia require you to Pay to have a voice. Bitshares Open Source Meetups are meant to give a voice to anyone who may need one!

🕑 How Much Time Per Topic?
Hangouts will be at least 45 minutes long, but depending on attendance and projects/topics to be covered may last up to 60 minutes. Given this, we will try to stay with 5-6 core topics and will fit in others where possible.
🏅 What do we Earn for Active Participation?
Those who attend will be given an opportunity for 100 Beyondbits on the BitShares DEX (worth over $250). Best RSVP post wins 50Beyondbits (over $125) They will then be given directly to you via your Bitshares Wallet so make sure you have one!
Fuzzy will be giving Beyondbits to community founders who attend this weekly hangout to give their own unique perspectives and expert commentary. He will also be giving them to people who give topics and information we choose to use in our hangout!
So make sure you get a Get One!
Additionally every week one topic will be chosen for a Tokens4Tweets Post in which we reward those with Twitter Accounts for Sharing your content!

⛒ Is Any Topic Off Limits?
Yes. We reserve the right to learn from the newest trickster trolling steemit consistently searching for way to insert chaos into the equation and devise future strategies for negating these. Naturally if these efforts become ham-fisted attempts at shutting down free speech in honest conversations, the audience will hold us accountable.
But with that said....pretty much anything can be covered--even up to and including current events. However, I personally will only be voting up stories that touch the blockchain in some way shape or form and will be asking the community to downvote absolute Rubbish! ;)
What are Beyondbits and Whaleshares?
Beyondbits and Whaleshares started as a conversations in the BeyondBitcoin hangout series shortly after Steem was launched historically in those very hangouts. It began as "community tokens" or "tag coins" for those who never knew to listen in who may wish to listen to the origins in our BeyondBitcoin Podcast Series. Drop in and listen to them sometime!

Excerpt from this weeks Bitshares State of the Network report
The first Graphene Devcon was successfully held in Shanghai on the 21st of January 2018 which had over 400 participants attend. The event was so valuable the organisers are now organising a Global Graphene conference and are calling for Speakers and Participants
@abit has announced a new Bitshares Block Explorer BTS.AI, which launched earlier this week. BTS.AI joins the 2 existing explorers Cryptofresh.com and Bitshares-explorer.io
The BitShares Blockchain Foundation has announced 3 new worker proposals which are looking to make use of the BFF escrow program. The new worker proposals are 'Legal Council about BTS and No-action', BSIP 29 and BitShares-ui.
@cm-steem has announced there is currently 7 active price feeds for the 'Hertz' asset and he is also offering a 750 BitUSD bounty for implementing Hertz in the btsprice python price feed repo.
The Scorum team has announced the first Graphene testnet of the Scorum blockchain is now live.

"The first Graphene Devcon of Chinese community was successfully held in Shanghai on 21st January. Over 400 participants, 10 wonderful speeches make this event great." @jademont, himself, was host of the final panel discussion on the future of Graphene.

Ezira is a Melbourne based project that will be using a graphene based blockchain to deliver a distributed social media and business platform. It will enable everyone to share information and value freely.

I see in the whitepaper the project will sharedrop 10% of EZIRA equity on currencies including Steem and Bitshares. In the end will the token be on the native EZIRA platform, like STEEM/SBD on Steemit, or will it be on the Bitshares DEX? Is there a bigger connection to Bitshares other than the sharedrop?
The EZIRA asset will be on the native Ezira blockchain when released. The connection to bitshares is that Ezira will be using the same Graphene blockchain framework as bitshares, and will have include similar features to Bitshares, in addition to a great deal more. Ezira will also enable bitshares as one of its 10 supported cryptocurrencies in user wallets, this will allow every Ezira account to also interact with the bitshares blockchain, by allowing users to link their existing bitshares account, or by creating a new one.

🚀 I'm happy we spent some time hearing about the EOS Angles project, even though it's not a 100% Bitshares topic, it is important to spotlight cross-chain efforts and projects that will bring sharesdrops to token holders on the DEX.
