Hangout Format:

This will go up at least 4 days before the BitShares Hangout. BitShares community members who post subjects to cover and bring topics of discussion are asked to do so in response to this post first. Worker Proposals are a Chief Focus in these hangouts, but other topics and projects are welcome to join. @officialfuzzy can finally pay people who have supported this powerful cryptocurrency for the past 4 years since its birth and evolution. So reply below with valuable topics, updates, info we should cover and earn upvotes from in this thread and earn a special bonus if yours are chosen!

How Much Time Per Topic?

Hangouts will be at least 45 minutes long, but depending on attendance and projects/topics to be covered may last up to 60 minutes. Given this, we will try to stay with 5-6 core topics and will fit in others where possible.

What do we Earn for Actively Participating?

Those who attend will each earn from a pool of bitshares based tokens. They will then be given directly to you via your Bitshares wallet.
Fuzzy will be giving Beyondbits to community founders who attend this weekly hangout to give their own unique perspectives and expert commentary. He will also be giving them to people who give topics and information we choose to use in our hangout!
So make sure you get a BitShares Wallet!

And let's not forget...you get SP through upvoting quality information and content worth sharing with the top minds in crypto across the graphene ecosystem!

How to Join as a Guest Speaker

Step 4: RSVP Below with the following details:

  1. Project/Topic Name/News Piece
  2. Relevant Steemit Tag?
  3. Appropriate links to share?
  4. Steemit and/or Mumble account name of Representative/Speaker
  5. How should we Introduce you/your project/your news coverage?
  6. What is your bitshares account name?

Is Any Topic Off Limits?

Yes. We reserve the right to learn from the newest trickster trolling steemit consistently searching for way to insert chaos into the equation and devise future strategies for negating these. Naturally if these efforts become ham-fisted attempts at shutting down free speech in honest conversations, the audience will hold us accountable.
But with that said....pretty much anything can be covered--even up to and including current events. However, I personally will only be voting up stories that touch the blockchain in some way shape or form and will be asking the community to downvote absolute Rubbish! ;)

We are preparing a Worker Proposal for making a noob-friendly bot for providing liquidity / making markets in the DEX. I'm sure there's lots of opinions and thoughts on the subject, and I would love it to be discussed in the hangout. I won't be participating, but I will listen afterwards and take note of everything.

We have agreed on two main objectives:

  1. Increase liquidity
  2. Make Bitshares much more appealing.

Of course the end goal is that Bitshares grows in usage and value.

We don't intend to provide advanced strategies based on technical analysis. All the strategies will be such that add value to the whole, not just the individual, so most will be market making strategies, with a few others. Special emphasis will be put on ease-of-use. We want the bot to be usable by everyone, so they take their BTS back home to the DEX.

So please discuss this. This is for the whole community and we want to be sure about what the community wants and needs.

This Steem post is probably the most accessible information package about the WP.

Bitshares State of the Network Report by @steempower (an excerpt):

PoloniEX has re-enabled its Bitshares wallet for Deposit and Withdrawal. Still no statement has been made as to the reason why it was disabled. The Bitshares spokesperson is still awaiting a response..

@apasia.tech has developed a 'Rough Guide to WALLET MANAGEMENT on the BitShares DEX' and a 'Rough Guide to Trading on BitShares DEX for beginners'. Despite the titles both these guides are great resources and go into a good level of detail.

This week has seen a massive 36% increase in the smartcoin supply within the Bitshares platform. The largest increase in circulating supply came from BitUSD which has increased by 40% and BitCNY by 22%

Operation Type% of Total BTS
Asset create80%

Limit order create2%
Transfer1%
Voting Period for the Infrastructure Worker is Still Open

Suggested Duration: 5 minutes

One of the things that the worker will do is provide 2 additional API nodes in Asia, at least one in the US, and a public faucet. Will also provide nodes for the TestNet.

Status of bitCNY and bitUSD force settlements

Suggested Duration: 5 to 15 minutes
Two weeks ago, the force settlement fee for bitCNY was changed from 1% to 5% in order to address the surface problem of bitCNY-price for BTS being above the feed price.

Is the bitCNY-price for BTS on the DEX still above the feed price? Are many force settlements of bitCNY still occurring?

If so why? If not, when can the change to force settlement fee be changed back from 5% to 1%?

I don't know if it is the right subject for this hangout, but do you want to speak about vote buying and flaging that is going on right now on steemit or about curation groups like curie or ocd, I could speak a lot about ocd.

nope. this is not the correct place unfortunately.

ponzi

Ok...lol. so normally one is expected to give input and details. Seems like u bypassed that whole thing :]

@officialfuzzy Thanks for sharing this quality post about Bitshares.

I have a question for you or any steemian who knows the answer, regarding the Bitshares Openledger (OPEN.X). I used it 15 minutes ago to transfer steem from bittrex to Bitshares.org. It is working now and when I sent it to. But from time to time it says: Openledger is down or not responding. If I sent steem and still did not receive it, I will not loose them, correct? What do I expect from this message? Thanks in advance for your help. @gold84

You should not lose it but you should definitely consider reaching out to open ledger on the matter because it really depends. I think u are safe though if the funds left your wallet were sent to the appropriate account.

@fuzzyvest thans for the follow up on this. Do you know someone working or Openledger? The reason is that I found the problem. I searched for "@openledger-dex" on steemd.com and found the actual block I sent from bittrex. The error I made was putting the MEMO: "openledger-dex", instead of the MEMO code I always enter. I sent them a support ticket explaining this. What is that they will do? They just have to send it to my account. Do you know how it works in this cases? Thanks a lot for your help. @gold84

that would be ronny boesing and he is in bitshares telegram
