Think Before You Act

I once read about a man who bought a fairly nice car and adored it like every other human would do to a precious possession. One day, his only daughter who was around age 4, took a finely sharp object, scratching her way through the body of the car, she wrote: 

‘I love you daddy’. 

The words were sweet but the effect on the car was sour.

The man on seeing this, moved with rage, called out his daughter who by now was grinning loudly about her accomplishment. He flogged her right fingers so hard that she bled too much and landed on the hospital bed.

 

Quite pathetic, she lost all 5 fingers. 

While staring at her bandaged hand, with her parents closely knitted to her bed, she asked: 

“will my fingers grow again?”

Many of us are like the father in the above story. We do not think things through before adequately implementing them, - especially when the situation upsets us.

We get so easily overwhelmed that we throw away golden opportunities to think or rethink certain things.

There is every tendency of getting a better result when you think before you act on something. 

In fact, thinking things out even for one more second, gives alternatives on what you are about to do. Once you don’t, you tend to act foolishly.

Remember that you can’t retrieve what you have done but can fix what you are yet to do.

So, think before you act!!!
