When GOOGLE is mean to me

A few days ago in the middle of my normal day I got a notification on my husband's phone, Google through the Photo App gave him a reminder 2 years ago (as well as Facebook). It turned out to be a reminder of a trip we made to Aruba 2 years ago for the sake of our first anniversary.

You know, that moment of happiness, nostalgia and memories that produce those events that have marked your life in some way or another; I guess you've felt it sometime. But, what a great trip !, despite the stress of check-in, queuing, flights delayed because a pigeon was standing in the middle of the track (well, not that much) and tiredness that produces the trip itself, always get to the destination and start enjoying the same I think makes it worthwhile.

One of the best memories and even the most common of all was sharing a trip on the island in a public transport from the center of the city to the hotel area of ​​the island with a lot of unknown people of different nationalities. Although at that time Aruba was full of Venezuelans, somehow, on the bus, only my husband and I were the only ones of Spanish speaking. On the bus were Asians, Germans (I think), and Americans; all tourists, we enjoyed the trip by bus. My husband, I was laughing at the occurrences and jokes of the Americans (I did not understand them) and he translated me what they were saying.

If you have traveled, you have your smartphone synchronized with Google, in an evil way, you will always remember things like this and you will surely understand and think about this post when it happens to you.

Cuando GOOGLE es malo conmigo

Hace unos días atrás en medio de mi día normal llego una notificación al teléfono de mi esposo, Google a través de la App de fotos le hacia un recordatorio de hace 2 años atrás (así como Facebook). Resulto ser un recordatorio de un viaje que hicimos a Aruba hace 2 años por motivos de nuestro primer aniversario.

¿Saben?, ese momento de felicidad, nostalgia y recuerdos que producen esos eventos que han marcado tu vida de algún u otro modo; me imagino que tú lo has sentido en algún momento. Pero, ¡que viaje tan genial!, a pesar del estrés que produce el check in, la cola, los vuelos retrasados porque una paloma estaba parada en medio de la pista (bueno no tanto así) y cansancio que produce el viaje en sí, siempre llegar al destino y empezar a disfrutar del mismo creo que hace que valga la pena.

Uno de los mejores recuerdos y aunque sea el más común de todos fue compartir un viaje por la isla en un transporte público desde el centro de la ciudad hasta la zona hotelera de la isla junto a un montón de personas desconocidas de diferentes nacionalidades. Aunque en ese momento Aruba estaba llena de venezolanos, de algún modo, en el bus, solo mi esposo y yo éramos los únicos de habla hispana. En el bus iban asiáticos, alemanes (creo), y norteamericanos; todos turistas, disfrutábamos del viaje en bus. Mi esposo, iba riéndose de las ocurrencias y chistes de los norteamericanos (yo no los entendía) y el me tradujo lo que estaban diciendo.

Si has viajado, tienes tu smartphone sincronizado con Google, de una manera malvada, siempre te recordará cosas como esta y seguro entenderás y pensaras en este post cuando te pase.
