We-write contest

A young woman, at the beginning of her twenties, came out from the trees. Her clothes reminded Randy some movies set on the Middle Ages. She greeted Randy and Debra. Her voice was soft with a slow rhythm but the accent made it hard to understand her.
Randy stood up and addressed the woman. After switching a few words, she seemed harmless to him. Randy shown her a place round the fire and offered her some marshmallows. Debra stayed aside, staring at the woman as if she had altogheter the feeling of fear and hate. Randy sat next to the unexpected gest and both held a conversation.
Suddenly, a wolf howled afar and the mysterious woman stopped talking. Randy hadn´t recovered from the deep howling and her silence when a couple goat-like ears popped over the chesnut hair and tried to locate the origin of the howling.
The strange woman dropped the marshmallows she was eating, said a few words to Randy -which he interpreted as a farewell- just before she lifted the edge of her dress, leaving at the expousure a pair of goat legs and skipped over the the fire and disappeared among the trees.

I just followed your link and learned what a Glaistig is! How nice to have learned that.
Sounds like they were lucky there was a child at that fire, or there could have been trouble!

Ooh I’ve never heard of a glaistig before! I like your description of her, and the reveal of her goat-y, mythical nature. It makes me want to learn about more beings from folklore!

I had never heard of a glaistig, either. What an odd critter to show up at the campfire!
