Clean up your cells! The best protection against aging, cancer, Alzheimer's disease & Co: 1.Introduction

in #english6 years ago (edited)

All people hope for a long life in health, peace and harmony. Admittedly, it often has to do with a bit of luck or sometimes requires a pronounced discipline to have everything at the same time. But there are a few things everyone can do to get a bit closer. We are talking about your health. There are many health guides and often one knows better than another. First, everyone needs to know that genetics and human metabolism are extremely complex. So you cannot transfer all concepts, diets or whatever, easily to everyone. The aim of this series of articles is nevertheless to familiarize you with a concept that is valid for everyone without exception. I’m talking about autophagy and mTOR.
For more than 10 years I have been working intensively on the biology of the cell. I came across many interesting aspects, which I would like to share with you in the future. However, the concept of autophagy and mTOR have impressed me so much that I need to tell you about it immediately.

Why are autophagy and mTOR so exciting and important? Autophagy and mTOR are of such huge importance to you because:
• Their discovery stories are already so extraordinary.
• Both have such immense significance for the life of every human being.
• The knowledge about mTOR and autophagy unconsciously exists in every human being and is now scientifically verifiable.
• There are examples of how every individual can benefit from scientific findings.
Of course, since that's all pretty much and I do not want to completely kill you with a huge article, I will split the whole topic up and post it gradually. The following outline should be made:

  1. Introduction
  2. Autophagy and mTOR: two success stories.
  3. Autophagy: Tidy up your cells or do you live in your own filth at homelth?
  4. The mTOR: construction or dismantling, that's the question here.
  5. Autophagy vs. mTOR: How can I optimally balance my life with the laws of biochemistry?

In preparation for the next articles, it would be helpful that you are able to think a bit more like a cell biologist. For this, please imagine cells like the game Packman.

Just like in Packman, the cell is a dark labyrinth, where everything is about eating and being eaten, promotion or inhibition. If everything is well timed, your game is running. But if you overdo it or are inattentive, you will eventually fly out. So ask yourself who’s the bad guy: Packman or the ghosts?

If you want to keep yourself vital and powerful in the game of life, then I'm glad to meet you again in the next articles.
