Minnow Power UP League Week #1
Welcome to the first weeks Minnow Power Up League and congratulations to the 39 minnows that have signed up to track their progress and road to dolphinhood. To learn more about this minnow initiative please do have a read of our introduction post.

Minnow Power UP League
Every Thursday we will be using SteemSQL database managed by @arcange to gather details on the Owned SP for each person that has entered the league. The current weekly owned SP will be compared to the SP held last week. The person with the highest SP growth for the current week will be on top of the leader board.
There are 4 levels depending on your SP levels. Once you graduate from one, you will be automatically placed on the next. When you graduate from the 4th you will be placed on the Minnow Wall of Fame.
As this post could get rather long with the 4 levels, as we grow, we may consider splitting this into different posts on different days.
Level 1
Congratulations to @veryspider with a growth this week of 117.951 STEEM. Nice work. First prize for the first week of the minnow power up league. In a close second is @siratl followed by @scrawly in third.
In total the level 1 minnows of the league powered up an impressive 728.7 SP. Way to go.
Level 2
With 6 participants on level 2, we have a clear winner this week. Congratulations @peter2017, very nice growth this week. And you are also our first graduate from level 2 to level 3. Congratulations also to @niallon11 and @gillianpearce coming in second and third.
Level 3
@carlgnash you are first in the level 3 league with a massive power up. This has now placed you as a graduate of Level 3 and next week you will move on to level 4. Awesome work to you too @delishtreats. Keep up the great work.
Level 4
Congratulations to @stevescoins, you are first in this week’s level 4 minnow power up league. @masterthematrix and @glenalbrethsen. You also have had nice growth this week.

:DGreat to see the project p and running and it's not a bad turnout for just week number 1. I can see this growing rapidly once people are aware of what you are trying to do here. i'm not that far away from level three as it stands so at least I know what the target is for the next few weeks on here. That's the motivation working already.
I'm a bit confused by the figures here @steemcommunity. I was expecting a negative growth since I've delegated some SP since last week.
My owned SP according to steemworld is 1,956.19 SP.
However, if you look at my wallet it's closer to the figure you've quoted.
So it looks like these calculations are still counting SP that has been delegated out.
the owned sp as per steemworld is what I call controlling SP. this is the SP you are in control of. so it is your owned SP less delegated out SP plus delegated in SP.
we are measuring actual owned SP. Any delegations are excluded.
Sorry @paulag I still don't understand what you're saying here but I don't suppose it matters anyway.
I'm not planning on doing anything to manage the figures. My SP will simply be whatever I can scrape up each week. 😊
Hi @gillianpearce what she is trying to say, it that they only use the SP you own yourself. So they don't take SP delegated in or out into calculation.
Steemworld does this.
Suppose that you have 100 own SP, but do have a delegation of 50 SP incoming and an out going delegation of 25 SP. Steemworld would say 125. (100+50-25).
But if you take a look at he wallet on busy or steem, you will see 100SP (+25). This 100 SP (yours) is taken into account.

I have two delegations going out so basically, it sounds like you are saying @fullcoverbetting, those are ignored in the sense that they are not deducted from the total, because I own them.
So far so good but the original post says "Delegated SP will be excluded, both in and out".
How can an outward delegation be anything other than owned by me and, therefore, in what circumstances would it be excluded?
The SP you did delegate out isn’t excluded from the calculationbut the delegation is.
The ranking is based how much SP you would have with any in or outgoing delegation!

The SP you have according to the wallet of Busy or steem interface is used for the ranking. The SP calculate by steemworld is the one you are using when curating. For you this is 1956.25. This is based on 2356 own SP and 400.67 SP delegated out.
The 2356 own SP, is also shown in the wallet via busy or steem.
What I did mean to say it that the delegation is ignored. Both incoming and outgoing.
