Never Use Email to...
- Be your to-do list (always transfer tasks onto a separate work planner. This allows you to prioritise and take control rather than being reactive when working in your inbox)
- Say something that could be more easily and personally explained in voice - schedule a call or leave a message using Voxer.
- 'Keep ALL in the loop' by using the dreaded 'CC' function (we're all busy, please leave us out if your message ain't intended for us)
- Be the main focus of your working day (unless you work in customer services or similar, your day will be 'run' by other people if you operate in reactive mode from your inbox. Instead, structure set times of the day to check-in, sort, respond, close)
- Be sneaky using the 'BCC' function
- Dodge difficult conversations. In person is always better for the tricky stuff
- Send Christmas cards (e-cards - yuck!)
Any other email faux-pas that you wish to add to the list?
Good tips. I will resteem to keep these tips closer
