That must be very satisfying feeling when the equipment that stroke and did not work after repair can be used again. I feel sad when we have to get rid of something often new thing but not functioning. I remember in the past my father was able to repair his old cars with help of exchanging some little parts, but nowadays a lot if fused into one big parts and to replace the whole unit needs to be renewed and people loosing that skill and will of DIY.
