Björk - UNCONVENTIONAL but a STAR for GOOD REASONS (music and more inside)
One of the more poppy artists I truly respect for what see brings to us, is the Icelandic Björk. She makes amazing music! And for some reason I cannot explain, I do listen to her music way too little. She started her career back in 1977 at the age of 11 with the release of her first ever album "Björk" under her name "Björk Guðmundsdóttir". But most of us know her from her debut album of her third career "Debut" released in 1993, just one year after she migrated to the UK. With this album, Björk reached many pop charts; A new star was born!

Although her first ever album became platinum, she refused to make another disco-folk follow-up and, at the age of 13, formed her first short-lived punk band, all-girl alliance Spit and Snot (Saliva and Phlegm), where she played the drums. Later on she was involved in projects such as Exodus and Jam 80, all of which without known record releases.
In 1982 she launched punk-pop Tappi Tíkarrass (Cork The Bitch's Arse), releasing an EP and a LP, before she turned into a "serious" rebel by joining forces of the political "existential jazz-punk" of Kukl (Witchcraft), releasing three records. While Björk's vocal expression had matured in Kukl, she attracted worldwide prominence for the first time as one of the lead vocalists of the avant-pop Icelandic sextet The Sugarcubes.

No, but I did now, and that is not an Illusion :) And Björk is also not an illusion; And when she is: She is one hell of an illusion! :) LOL Super article BTW! What is illusion, what is real, do we have free will, or not. I find those questions and topics fascinating. Quantum theory suggests that all of this what we perceive as real, maybe an illusion, a projection from the outskirts of our universe. The Holographic Universe model suggest that all of this is just a impurity of a homogene structure, and is an illusion by definition. Both these models have nothing to do with each other BTW, while quantum theory is what the scientific community embraces and do a lot of research on, the Holographic Model is just accepted by a very few.

The woman has an incredible voice, batty as a fruit cake, but exceptionally talented. I have a few of her albums although I have to admit a lot of the songs are not to my taste.
