Social Contracts - How Many of them Are there?

Two-schoolgirls-count-on--009.jpg

The social contract concerns the origin of society and the legitimacy of the authority of the state over the individual. Social contract arguments typically posit that individuals have consented, either explicitly or tacitly, to surrender some of their freedoms and submit to the authority of the ruler or magistrate (or to the decision of a majority), in exchange for protection of their remaining rights. There isn't a lot of talk about "social contracts" per se in the popular mainstream media. That's kind of ridiculous when you think about it.

Thankfully, the "mainstream media" is changing from the perspective that online social media is the new, "mainstream media"...which allows for the historically suppressed narratives to get more transaction.

I mean things could be organized way better....

  • When I was a kid I actually thought everything was under control...made sense...there was a sort of order in the world...

  • Got a bit older realized there were things like "royal families". I can remember being immediately offended. lol.

  • It's acceptable for their to be different classes of people. Rich and Poor. And an in between class where some are fight not to be poor and some are fighting to be rich...and some have just accepted place in the middle and are coping with the situation.

  • It's popular for kids to go to school for most of their formative years. It's now common for kids to be in school in their mid 20's. All this school...and no real value in society for all the slave labor schooling...many can't get a job.

  • It's popular to pay the banks fees for holding on to your money. And maybe even charge you when you want to touch your money.

  • It's popular to purchase clothing that is produced by child labor. In fact, your favorite athlete is sponsored by the companies who pay children to produce the clothing.

  • It's popular to distinguish between countries as 1st and 3rd world.

  • it's popular to have identification systems where you need your identification to prove your legitimacy.

  • It's popular for students who go to school for a long time to try to contribute to society to have debt for all their studies.

  • It's popular for credit card companies to charge huge fee's and to actually run the business model on people not being able to pay off their debt.

  • It's popular to think that there's real human progress on planet earth within the human species

  • It's popular to follow along with whatever the crowd is saying...

  • It's popular to ridicule and berate differences of opinion

  • It's popular for people as they age to become more and more isolated...to the point where it's common in the western world to stick old people in "old age" homes because the family isn't interested in living with you anymore or looking after you...or both. It's usually justified as the only real logical choice.

  • It's popular to have a citizenship to one country...where this "one" country is like your sort of lottery ticket numbers in this world....and all lottery tickets weren't design equal. Some countries suck way more than other countries. If you want to switch lotto tickets...get a different citizenship and passport it's a difficult process and not an easy thing to do...and isn't a guarantee. Though if you have lots of money you can buy one.

  • It's popular mentality to be entitled to wealth and privilege when you have it, because it's earned and "you did it".

  • It's popular for the younger generation to think there smarter then the previous generation...missing the glaring resemblances and similarities as to where we came from...

There's a lot of shit that's pretty messed up with the way he human organize ourselves in what we call "civilized" societies. I mean it's kind of pathetic in a lot of ways. I'm really optimistic about our potential, despite what some may call ridiculous odds stacked against ourselves as a species.

Yes sir,the social contract concerns the origin of society and the legitimacy of the authority of the state over the individual.

You deeply thinked some Inconsistency in our society.

This is indeed all true. All human in this world are borned naked. From the moment we were born, our fingerprints were taken, we were identified by caste, wealth, race and education status. To make things official, we even have a birth certificate, a piece of paper that proved their ownership that we belonged to this place called society. Slaves were made to sign over their lives, agreeing to terms and conditions set by their master. The world today is uncivilized as a whole.

seems like you are not the only one who thought that as a child even i think that way lol

Great blog post nice to know about this social contract, thanks a lot for sharing with us.

Couldn't help but notice that you listed all those things, that are true, but there was no section at the end about what you're doing to fix it.

The ambitious and powerful will always rule over the lazy and weak, if people don't want to be led off a cliff then they should stop acting like lemmings. If the effort or possible consequences scare them away, then they didn't want to be free in the first place. The social contract is just an emergent psychological dichotomy between those with and without self respect. If people don't even respect themselves, why should I or anyone else care about them? Might as well just use them as disposable labour for my ambitions until they decide to grow a spine, die, or become otherwise useless.

I know I can't just tell the banks and the police and all of them to go fuck themselves and have any hope of succeeding. I'm physically, economically, and socially weak. I'd just be killed and nothing would change. So I do what I'm told and bide my time as I work to change all that.
