Technology, Education, and a Personalized Education Platform

in #education5 years ago

Dear Steemians,

The purpose of higher education is not only to educate a person who will work for a company but to raise entrepreneurs who will develop an idea for value-added goods and services with institutional support. What will happen when we bring young students and teachers together in a platform from different backgrounds, experiences, and expertise? By supporting them with powerful technical weapons such as blockchain and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies, they will solve the biggest challenges facing society today.

According to The World Bank, there is a 9% increase in lifetime earnings for one extra year of schooling [1]. Research shows that the earlier a child has access to education will increase his/her chances of a healthier and longer life, and boosts lifetime income [2]. In particular, with fast-changing technologies today, students need to catch up with tech skills such as artificial intelligence technologies. While tech giants like Facebook and Google offer computer scientists with AI expertise multimillion-dollar salaries and hire talent from well beyond U.S. borders, there is still a shortage of AI talent [3]. For tech companies and entrepreneurs, the skills gap is one of the biggest challenges.

Thus, a platform that attracts people with diverse backgrounds can utilize the various platform resources to create a personalized learning plan and reduce the workload for instructors. The platform tracks a student progress, identifies knowledge gaps, and offers personal study recommendations and feedback.

Team TUDA believes that a platform with a huge amount of data from millions of study sessions can provide the most relevant study material that students utilize to understand today's complicated technologies.

Best Regards,
Team TUDA

Our society is made in a way that encourages skills gap. Good education remains costly and it seems to be ok for the World Bank. Hey, that's my opinion.
