Introducing Jay Choi, TUDA's CEO

Team TUDA to talk about our next post. We wanted to introduce the community to the people behind the TUDA project! I know a lot of people have been wondering about who we are, and we thought that introducing ourselves via Steemit would be the best way to go.

We have two Jay’s currently at our company. Today’s post will be regarding our CEO.

CEO Jay grew up in a loving family all of his life in Korea, but knew that he wanted to receive life experience that was more global. Without any lengthy preparation, he decided to abruptly go to America to pursue his education. He quickly spent day and night, weekdays and weekends studying English so that he could study in the states. This is the first time that Jay came to realize the importance of communication as well as the importance of a good education.

Jay passed his tests and went to Purdue University where he graduated with a mechanical engineering major. During his stint at Purdue, he would spend his free time tutoring elementary and junior high school students in English as well as partake in tutoring sessions to improve his own English skills. He did this not only in person, but also via telephone, what he has called "tele-tutoring".

This was a time when smartphones were just about to take off, Bitcoin still did not exist, and as a result, there was no technology named “blockchain” at that time. After graduating from Purdue, Jay first went into consulting at THE MICE, where he advised Woori Securities and IBK Bank as a junior consultant. He then started his career as an entrepreneur, creating a digital building management service with REMCO Inc., then pursuing a crowd-sourcing K-pop project. When blockchain started to create a scene amongst developers, Jay took to this new technology, and started a company that mined coins, utilized algorithmic trading via API on cryptocurrency exchanges, and invested in ICOs.

This was the point when Jay’s love for blockchain started to bear fruit, realizing it was the technology of the future, and decided to apply it to education, which has always been a core passion of his. As TUDA’s CEO, Jay is establishing TUDA as a top blockchain company and top education provider in the world!
