I agree with yourself here @lukestokes .. I have and am sharing photos of my Son online. I can completely understand where @charles1 is coming from and it is a very scary world out there. But I believe that as long as you aren't posting in-appropriate content, then there is no harm caused. I see it that I am proud of my beautiful son and like to share my pride and joy with others. Like yourself @lukestokes , until I am personally attacked with misuse of my content, I will continue :-)
