RE: Vlog from the Lake // Two Years Ago... I Went Back to School and Got a Degree I May Never Use - Do I Regret It?

in #education7 years ago

Going to school is not a guarantee to been educated..
They are of different terms.
We all want to be successful and that what am always tag with.
It so simple when you identify what you " LOVE ", Then find an accessible and reasonable way to be the best at it, or at least the best at a part of it.

You may adore Boxing but will never be good enough to win at Olympic. That’s okay. However, aiming to be the best instructor in a region that 1) has a need for it, 2) offers reasonable cost of living and 3) is appealing to you is very achievable. Hence, nobody’s going to be asking for your Boxing degree.

You must already know if your ideal career path -- requires a degree or not. Tho many times, it doesn’t. If that’s the case, why spending your precious years; learning what you don't need? Been in debt? Live a restricted life? Not focusing of your ideal? No creating future for yourself?

Am @olaideas, I love the spirit of entrepreneurship.. More love to @coruscate for this amazing speech.

Thank you for leaving such a well-thought out reply! I think you make some great points about understanding whether your passion and field requires a degree. Some may only require talent or a different certification. The boxing example is a perfect illustration!

Debt is slavery, and it’s a shame that so many young adults start out their journey swimming in debt.
