Rare Earth Elements are a group of 17 elements which are widely used in many areas including magnets,catalyst, metal alloys, Electronics, glass, ceramic, new material and some other high technology fields.
The 17 REE Material are: Sc, You, La, CE, Or, Nd, Pm, SM, EU, God,TB, Dy,Ho,Er,TM,Yb and Lu.

Rare Earth Minerals are found in the form of Bastnaesite, Monazite and Xeno-transplation and some other minerals. China is major source of REE minerals in the world. Other countries those producing REE minerals are USA, India, Australia, Brazil, Malaysia, Russia ,Egypt, Canada , South Africa.

Rare Earth Material are called as Vitamins Of Modern Industry.
In recent years, demand for rare earth increasing widely, particularly in green energy sector in Wind turbine and solar cells technology, fuel cells, hydrogen storage and rechargeable batteries and parmanent magnets used in electric and hybrid electric vehicle.

Rare Earth metals widely used as phosphors in all kind Android phone, consumer display and lighting systems and also used in fluid cracking catalyst and catalytic converter in the oil and automotive industry and medical industry.
REE are also vital for many defence technology including precision guided amunition, targetting lasers, communication systems, airframes and aerospace engines, radar systems, optical equipment, sonar, and electronic counter measures.

REE Elements Extrusion:
As the physical and chemical properties of the 17 elements associted with REE are same, the processes of their extraction are complicated.
To Extruct REE we have to polluted our health and environment badly.
The Raw material for producing REE Material are mostly Chloride and Fluoride.
There are three kinds of extruction technology:
1)Fractional Step Method.
2)Ion Exchange method

  1. Solvent Extraction method.
    Above All the Solvent Extraction Method is most widely used technology in the world.
    China along produced almost 90% of all REE Material in the World.

New Technology To Extruction Rare Earth Elements:
Scientist From Purdue University developed a new Chromatography technology that could Extruction REE from Coal Ash.
