Three whales of Ukrainian education / Три кити української освіти

My experience in Ukrainian higher education is just one year at Kyiv National University, and yet it was there that I was fortunate enough to get acquainted with three worldview sciences that significantly influenced my attitude and my ideas about the world. Though I studied economics in R&D.
I graduated from St. Petersburg University, but there were no such lectures at all, still I believe that they are very important.

Although they were so not important for us, that mainly students simply didn't pay attention to everything that was happening on those lectures.

So, I'll tell you what was most important for me in studying these subjects. There were different ideas and points of views, of course, but I will tell you about those I agree with.

Ethics

In ethics, the category of freedom was interesting. And although different philosophers have given a different definition of what freedom is or what should be, but for me the closest was the understanding that
Freedom is not a choice, but a certainty. If I have a choice of ten white blouses, and I want blue, then I have no freedom of choice.

Also very interesting was the philosophy of Nietzsche and his rejection of morality. Such a denial that raised a person above morality. In our time, the church has tried to usurp the right for an understanding of good and evil and to tell us what is right or wrong in life. Very often it is from churchmen that thoughts are heard that if there were no church, then people would wallow in vices and murders.
Although in fact I believe that a person by nature is inclined to do good. And your own understanding of good and good deeds for a strong person will be much higher than the church's truths.
So Nietzsche has denied morality and he created the superman, although he was criticized for this a lot.

Aesthetics

As a science about our perception of the beauty(or uglinees — depends on preferences) in the world around us.

And the most valuable in aesthetics for me was the perception of the comic as one of the aesthetic categories.

We in general all heard how funny it was in the Middle Ages to look at the torments of others. Circuses bought dwarfs, people went to laugh at the places of executions.

And by our time comic has divided into good and bad humor, greatly transformed.
Now it is a bad humor to laugh at a person, especially over appearance or something that can not be changed.
Good humor is considered funny, strange situations, which we encounter in the course of ordinary life.

And Religious Studies

In Ukraine, at the time of my education, 160 confessions were legalized and this was the largest number in the post-Soviet countries. We really have a very tolerant society in my opinion.

We simply studied the beliefs of different peoples and the transformation of faith along with the transformation of society. How gradually, with the formation of the state and the emergence of autocracy, polytheism was replaced by monotheism. And as with the departure of monarchies and bourgeois revolutions gradually monotheism was replaced by an abstract perception of the harmonious relationship of people, while retaining the names of religions.
As a formidable god of the Old Testament was replaced by the good God of the New Testament and how all this is interconnected with social changes.

I really believe that society is inventing a god that is convenient for it at the moment. And I do not accept the church as an institution for raising funds and trying to influence people. Since I believe that a person in our time is already mature enough and smart enough to determine his actions on his own. And take into account the public good, regardless of external laws.

But there is one "but", and this is our Mikhailovsky Golden-domed Monastery. Which twice helped people from the Maidan to hide on November 30, when everything was just beginning, and on February 19, when there was a maximum number of victims.
And on December 11, for the first time in eight centuries, the bells rang at night, urging Kyivans to defend themselves against an attempt to clean up the Maidan.
For the first time after the Tatar-Mongol invasion in 1240, when Kyiv was captured and destroyed.

Although, in general, all this right to asylum in the church is, of course, a very medieval story, but the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate nevertheless is a little more than just a church for me, although I do not belong to any of the confessions.

Мій досвід української освіти обмежується одним роком у Київському університеті, і тим не менш саме там мені пощастило ознайомитися з трьома світоглядними предметами, які значно вплинули на моє сприйняття світу.
Університет я закінчила все ж Петербурзький, але там цих лекцій не було зовсім, а я вважаю, що вони дуже важливі.

Хоча заради справедливості вони були для нас настільки непрофільними, що переважно всі студенти просто пропускали повз вуха все, що відбувається.

Отже, я розповім про те, що для мене було найважливішим у вивченні цих предметів.

Етика

В етиці цікавою була категорія свободи. І хоча різні філософи дали різне визначення того, що є або чим повинна була б бути свобода, але для мене найближчою стало розуміння, що
Свобода - це не наявність вибору, а його визначеність. Адже якщо у мене на вибір десять білих кофтинок, а я хочу синю, то ніякої свободи вибору мені не надано.

Також дуже цікавою була філософія Ніцше і його заперечення моралі. Таке заперечення, яке підняло людину вище моралі. У наш час церква спробувала узурпувати право на розуміння добра і зла і представиляє себе таким визначником того, що правильно або неправильно в житті. Дуже часто саме від церковників чуються думки, що якби не було церкви, то люди загрузли б у вадах і вбивствах.
Хоча насправді я вважаю, що людина за своєю природою схильна чинити добро. І власне розуміння добра і гарного вчинку для сильної людини буде значно вище церковних істин.
Так заперечував мораль Ніцше і створив надлюдину, хоча його багато за це і критикували.

Естетика

Як наука про наше сприйняття прекрасного (або потворного - кому як подобається) в навколишньому світі.

І найціннішим в естетиці для мене стало сприйняття комічного як однієї з естетичних категорій.

Ми взагалі всі чули як смішно було в Середні віки дивитися на муки інших людей. Цирки купували карликів, люди ходили сміятися на місця страт чи катувань.

А до нашого часу комічне розділилося на хороший і поганий гумор, значно трансформувавшись.
Тепер поганим гумором вважається сміятися над людиною, особливо над зовнішністю або чимось, що неможливо змінити.
Добрим гумором вважаються курйозні, дивні ситуації, з якими ми стикаємося в ході звичайного життя.

І релігієзнавство

В Україні на момент мого навчання було зареєстровано 160 конфесій і це було найбільшою кількістю на пострадянському просторі. У нас і справді дуже толерантне суспільство на мій погляд.

Ми просто вивчали вірування різних народів і трансформацію віри поряд з трансформацією суспільства. Як поступово з утворенням держави і появою самодержавства багатобожжя змінилося монотеїзмом. І як з відходом монархій і буржуазними революціями поступово монотеїзм змінився на абстрактне сприйняття гармонійних взаємин людей, при цьому зберігши назви релігій.
Як грізний бог Старого завіту змінився на доброго бога Нового завіту і як все це взаємопов'язане з суспільними змінами.

Я дійсно вважаю, що суспільство вигадує такого бога, який для нас зручний на даний момент. І я не люблю церкву як інститут збору коштів і спроб впливати на людей. Так як вважаю, що людина в наш час вже досить зріла і розумна, щоб оцінити свої вчинки самостійно. І враховувати суспільне благо, незалежно від зовнішніх законів.

Але є одне «але», і це але наш Михайлівський золотоверхий монастир. Який двічі допомагав сховатися людям з Майдану 30 листопада, коли все тільки починалося, і 19 лютого, коли була максимальна кількість жертв.
І 11 грудня вперше за вісім століть, вночі дзвонили дзвони, закликаючи киян вийти на захист проти спроби зачистити Майдан.
У перший раз після татаро-монгольської навали в 1240-му році, коли був узятий Київ.

Хоча в цілому все це право на притулок в церкві - це, звичайно, дуже середньовічна історія, але Українська православна церква Київського патріархату проте для мене трохи більше, ніж просто церква, хоча я не належу до жодної з конфесій.
