The Liberty Academy FREE COURSE : Plato's Allegory of the Cave & the Dialectic Method
Recently, I proudly launched the Liberty Academy (website link: http://liberty-academy.org/) which is an online school whereby all courses are free and where you can earn cryptocurrency for taking them!
We have many free courses to choose from.
One in which Steemit community members have already started to participate in is Plato's Allegory of the Cave & the Dialectic Method
Plato was a great philosopher from Ancient Greece and his wisdom on many aspects of life were, and still are, incredibly relevant to today’s world.

In his famous work The Republic (written around 380 BC or 360 BC), Plato uses an allegory (The Allegory of the Cave) to demonstrate how ignorance plagues the masses along with what it takes to break away from that prison.
A lot of us in the truth & Steemit community do our best to help alleviate the ill effects of this “plague”, sadly for which even many of our closest friends and family members are “stuck” in, and thus using a famous allegory can be a first step to help awaken them.
Both teens and adults (the course is recommended for people aged 14 and higher) can learn a great deal from this exceptional and timeless work.
We also explore the Dialectic Method as a means of learning. It can be argued that this method is more optimal and effective for learning than the Debate Method (which is the one mostly used in traditional education settings) which tends to be more confrontational and less explorative.
And through the discussions put forth this course, they can participate and share their thoughts with people from all around the world in our group discussion forums. With our Interactive Learning Environment platform (Schoology), they can even do so with a phone APP (or pad) which makes it convenient as well as fun for busy people on-the-go.

This is a song I wrote years ago when I first heard the allegory of the cave. This course sounds great, I think I’m going to try taking it. The idea of using this allegory to “red pill” people who are shall we say “stuck in the matrix” is an excellent one. The song is called Outside the Cave and my name is Matt Olson.
