Quick Notes:
Topic: How To Be A More Honest Guy?
Ever think of how to make ourselves more honest? By being honest, we can gain more credibility in the long run and reduce friction between people during any circumstances. Besides, it is best to collaborate with an honest business partner or client which will cost less and more sustainable in such a way that both parties can mutually focus on succeeding the deal or business. If one is being dishonest at the first place, then he or she will lose credibility in the following events and eventually left with little to no friends within their circle, which is kind of pathetic. Personally, I would prefer to be the dumb ass who fully believes in others during the first dealing. If I ever found out I am being scammed, then the first move for me is to cut off any relationship with that particular party and blacklist them forever. Nonetheless, a certain risk management shall be taken place to reduce my loss in the first dealing. Of course, every business dealings and any other daily non-business dealings have its own risk. Thus, we have to be streetwise in get the equilibrium point on being open up and defensive at the same time.
From the sharing of Rohit Bhargava, he mentioned about the method to improve our honest level. In a way, this is a method to gain trust from others and stand out from the deal other than through negotiation, which I think is pretty useful.
To take initiative to tell others about unpredictable reality.
In sales, the sales person usually does not disclose much about the deep down information of the product but to bring out the “killing points” to seal the deal. However, if we could be honest enough and share a certain level of product insight for the product, it can create a significant impact for the sale. I would like to experiment with this as well which I will soon be applying it in my business. Let’s see whether it could let me stand out from the competition and gain customers.
To take our own words seriously.
Whenever we promise something, it is important that we deliver. That is why I am now more careful with what I said, especially promise made to others. Even though I may gone through some bottle neck, a promise is still a promise that I will deliver in due time. Frankly, I always overestimate my own stamina to be consistent and resilient enough to take on all my milestones which cause delays for things I promised to do. Nonetheless, I am still doing my best to deliver and complete the works as long as it is still relevant.
To take up responsibility through personal signature.
Whenever we put our own signature on something, like a contract, we tend to be more responsible and cautious about the work. People will know that the works are under our responsible and are accounted to it. Thus, as a client, I will have more faith on a person who is willing to commit even with just signing a simple contract with minimal obligations. Likewise, any post on Steemit is under my username @kimzwarch which originates from me. Hence, I am liable with what I wrote, commented or resteemed which I can’t just throw the ball to any other person.
With that, whether or not it will improve our honest level, it is still up to other’s judgment. On the other hand, I will be focusing on myself to improve through his suggestions above. What say you?
This is a learning notes series of mine for subscribing to Dedao App, which is a learning App available on iOS and Android. If you are able to understand Chinese and an avid learner, this app is definitely a thing for you! I was using this app since it was launched and I had greatly benefited by following the courses offered. This year, I would like to improve myself by increasing my output which is through doing study notes. I will be perfecting the notes day by day and my resolution is to make 365 notes this year every day (if missed like today, I will be putting up for the missed days).
