Learning and Earning week 9 - @matkodurko's [Learn & Earn] Challenge
My ninth week of @matkodurko's What did I learn yesterday? challenge, based on an idea by Tim Ferriss ('Tools of Titans' book).
- Monday 18 - Learned nothing, due to the previous day's educational experience.
- Tuesday 19 - Three buckets of radioactive ore were left in a public area of a Grand Canyon visitor centre for EIGHTEEN years. Walt Hickey, of Numlock News put it beautifully: "This is either a grotesque oversight issue at the Parks Service or the hasty conclusion of a failed 20-year government experiment attempting to discreetly create Spider-Man.…"
Conspiracy themed original story - Wednesday 20 - China has closed the Everest base camp in Tibet after collecting 8.4 tonnes of waste in the area last summer. "China will also now charge a $1,500 per climber rubbish collection fee and each climber will be required to bring down 8 kilograms (17.6 pounds) of garbage back down with them to hand over to authorities." Bloody tourists. https://abcnews.go.com/International/china-closes-mount-everest-base-camp-tourists-garbage/story?id=61144089
- Thursday 21 - At a London pub with various associates, one of our number is stuck at Calais. "That won't happen after Brexit".
- Friday 22 - This Sunday's duo at TwickFolk, where I do the sound, requires twelve lines into the mixing desk. For a duo!
Folk music - it's all about simplicity... - Saturday 23 - Faced with the choice between going to an interesting exhibition's final day or playing with fake Lego, Nanoblocks won.
- Sunday 25 - Charlie Dore & Julian Littman really did need twelve inputs. This video isn't Twickfolk, but the song was my favourite track of the night. Imagine there's a harmonium, keyboard, computer, drum machine/loop pedal and many more stringed instruments just out of shot.
Woow...that Everest news iis amazing...like...it really helps over there..but it's also a suupercool funfact to share with people haha :D I love numbers :D
But 8kg is a loooot...I bet it's like a third of what they carry already. Anyway, it'll help the base camp for sure.
Thanks for enterin!
