"In what ways has centralisation failed us?"- EcoTrain Question Of The Week.

Centralisation is all about control and hierarchy. You have the guys at the top making all the decisions and pulling all the strings, whilst those of us on the bottom run around trying to keep everything afloat. All of the decision making is made at the top whilst we are left to pick up the pieces with no say in how things are done.

Money and power are the main motivators and the main goal for those who sit at the top and rule, so that we live in a world where those in power are also those who own all the major corporations around the world. Those who have the control over our health, are also those who own the pharmaceutical companies and so on and so on.

Centralisation has moved us further and further away from having control over our own lives, in every possible way. The only way we can take back that control is if we choose to live outside of the system and become totally autonomous. Something that seems impossible to so many, because this system has made most of the world's population totally dependant on them, physically, mentally and spiritually. So much so that they hand over their power without a second though.

Centralisation has disempowered so many people, enmeshed them in a system that feeds off of their fears and insecurities, fears and insecurities that have been put in place by the system itself.

There are so many ways in which centralisation has failed us and I wish to start at the beginning, when us humans entered this world. I want to start with Birth!

How far back do you need to go in your family tree until you reach a time when your ancestors where all born outside of hospitals. The whole idea of doctors being present at birth, started with King Louis the something and King Henry the 8th, both of whom really want male heirs and wanted their child born by the hand of a man. This was also why women began to lie down so that the Kings could see their child being born, no King was going to kneel on the ground for anything.

What was seen as good for the Royal Family was then deemed the right way for everyone else. So soon after this birth changed for everyone. Suddenly this sacred act was taken out of the hands of women and brought into the hands of doctors who then eventually wanted only to attend births in hospitals.

Obstetrics is the highest paid medical profession in the world and birth is seen as a huge money maker. Everyone seems to have a hand in it now, pharmaceutical companies are certainly laughing all the way to the bank.

Most women have no faith in their bodies ability to birth, but then most women and men have no idea about their bodies full stop, they have become so detached because they don't need to know, they have doctors who know for them. Women are being told, that they can now bond with their babies through the latest 3D and 4D ultrasounds, how can you bond with your baby through a screen when you are carrying them inside of you, this really goes to show how detached some of us have become from ourselves.

This detachment from self has also really affected our relationship with nature, because now, we can no longer identify with nature, with that side of ourselves that connects us to the whole. Coming back to birth, some women really struggle to let go during birth, to surrender the natural flow of it, why? well because ultimately we need to let go of our logical thinking self and reconnect with the animal inside, the instinctual side of ourselves. But there is this fear that holds us back, because the wild, the animal inside is seen as a negative thing and some reject it outright.

Just look at how the natural world is being treated, how our natural resources are being depleted, only those who feel so detached from nature could allow this to happen. Those who have elevated themselves above everyone else. When we live in a world where the few rule the many, those few are ruled completely by their ego's, fuelled by greed and the idea that they are superior and have the right to be in command. They are totally out of balance and that ripples down into their actions, resulting in a world that is left out of balance.

There are so many other things that I could write about, this is really just the tip of the iceberg. (don't even get me started on the educational system). But I do not want to leave this post on a negative note. Because there are so many of us that are moving towards a more de-centralised way of life. The proof is on here, is with the many people that I engage with who are taking back responsibility for their lives. This is the future and we are all a part of it.

You are so right, there are so many aspects of how centralization has failed, that it can be quite overwhelming to address them all, or even just list them. So it's nice to see that you focused on one, and such an important aspect.

Did not know that about the docs and King Louis 'the something' (LMFAO) and why it's all hospitals now. We had ours water births and no docs btw. Just a doula.

yeah they don't really make it common knowledge, want us all to think it is for the best, health reasons and all that. I really wanted a water birth for my second but she had other plans and came before the pool was ready xx

I've just downloaded a book about the topic. My humble opinion is decentralization towards power distribution and centralization towards efficiency.

interesting, are you going to answer the question? x

not at all, I'm just guy in the internet

Hear! Hear!
Here's to de-centralizing and being able to connect with so many people who are doing that here on Steem!
Excellent response - thanks for sharing!

thank you @porters, I am going to go check out yours soon xxx

i knew you totally would get it!,, i can feel your fire, which is SO good.. i think when we really understand the damage still being done, and the apathy of people even today... then its hard not to get Firey! I get flames coming out my mouth when i get going on this..

Im going to have to vent it out in a video.. as you say, there is too much to say!
xx

The detachment from Self - from pure values and pure joy - is at the beginning of all the rot. You nailed that pretty well. :)

thank you @artemislives, I always really value your feedback xxx

This is such a contemporary post! Resources and values is exactly what decentralization will give us to stop perennial inflation, but exactly what needs to be done to prevent extinction. I imagine that they know this on top of the food chain? I can relate to this post so much, because perennial inflation was created after the collapse of the Bretton woods system in 1971. The welfare state is too expensive and i am not accepting the live stock number on my ID. Fiscal policies of political lobbyist oligarchies selling us a lie they call democracy, dividing people into two oppositions to control them? Well where i live they cut on education and import chemicals they don't have the tech to filter. It all end up contaminating groundwater that we drink. Just the tip of the iceberg. This is one of the best articles i read in a while from someone who really understand this! Impressive and sooo true. Thank you for sharing. I thought i was following and steemifying, but i am only now! Been loving the posts since forever tho. Lets get our true family values back from this old paradigm of subjective consumerism! We should have abundant ideas in a world of finite resources that we decide to utilize as means, instead of abundant inflation of dogmatic consumerism for subjective values of goods and services no one really needs.

Concerning birth. I also think that women in our generation have so much more menstruation, because in the past they were more pregnant. I think this is another thing that needs to be considered.

Wow! And you also mentioned indoctrination!! You so got it nailed with this post!

wow thank you @yangyanje for such wonderful feedback and it is always great to connect with a kindred spirit. Concerning menstruation, that is very true, but in a way it is also needed as menstruation is a cleansing in itself, but that knowledge has been twisted so that it is demonized now. I could write a whole other post about that and perhaps I will. I hope you are having a great week xxxx

Very true! Heavy metals as specially. I believe thats why more men seem loose hair apart from living to acidic and too less alkaline.

I really believe so many people are rewilding in all kinds of ways. I choose to focus on the positive, as you say, lest I go mad. Connection to self and nature is the only way we can progress. So glad I hang out on blockchain with folk like you. Xx

me too, so many are it is so inspiring and I too like to focus on the positive. I never would have seen myself as some one who would have spend so much time online, it really goes against what I believe in, well it used to, but now I am so glad that I have because I have such a wonderful community in here and you my dear are such a wonderful sister to me, love you lots xxxx

Love you too!!! Funny how the online world has become a positive tool. Trying to balance it is a job though huh... being outdoors and present fully in nature means switching off!
