Oh no!! Heart goes out. Hard to imagine what she is going through. Its easy to dismiss organic and sustainable labels on packets and to not research your product in the west when you dont have a clue about the real people that are affected by such terrible things. We must do better. We just must.
The west sanitizes itself from the source of its products, and so compassion and good purchasing decisions become harder and less likely. I believe we (I in particular!!) have an obligation to use social media to counter-balance this western-white-washing to bring opportunity and social justice to people living in poverty and without access to fair trade, organic global markets.
