Sorry to hear, we've heard of similar stories in Cambodia. There is a more of problem of Chinese-owned and operated dams releasing too much water with too short notice or sometimes no notice at all. A fish farm like the one in your post could be washed away instantly.
Indeed - Cambodia is especially vulnerable in the middle of the Mekong Basin, and has sold out big time to China, as has Laos.
