Hear hear! I thought the anti water charges gang should have campaigned against paying for poisonous, filthy water, as opposed to paying for water.
The water charges haven't been scrapped entirely and Irish Water will start to charge for excess usage from January 2019. Since what constitutes excess usage can be altered, albeit only after 5 years, you could see it as introducing the charges through the back door.
Yeah, in politics they always seem to find a back door somehow don't they? I knew the water charges weren't going to go away entirely, that just sounded too good to be true. Tell people it's gone, then make them forget about it and lastly re-introduce it in another form. Just another clever way of stealing from us all!
