Capital Punishment and Vengence will never prevent Murder, in fact, it can only work to encourage offenses. It doesn't matter how "in your face" the act is, not that such inhumanity could be pushed to the front page without a backlash from the public. Fear porn and fatality crowds will certainly love it if they would televise it uncensored.

Yep, that is the heart and core of justice. And, why justice is pretty much only something that can be discussed in ivory towers. Justice evaporates as soon as any logic is applied to it.
Metaphysically speaking, the "victim" brought the incident to them. The "victim" and the "perpetrator" co-created the incident. But, we are a long way from having people even tentatively accept the law of attraction and even longer before they can understand its full manifestations.
So, given that. What is justice?
You find out that two people were secretly hurting (emotionally), and now they are hurting even more. Well, the correct thing to do is to help both of them heal. But no, what we like to do is make them both hurt some more by insisting on vengeance.
You think you can heal those that refuse to heal?
Justice is all about Reason, Logic and Conflict Resolution/Arbitration. Justice is not concerned with ephemeral or metaphysical. Legality is merely the "appearance of justice", but everyone knows there's also forgiveness but it hardly gets considered in legality but is at the heart of justice.
You know what justice is as you know what equitability is, and as you'd know what fair is, which you'd know from how you expect the certainties of how people treat one another in such manners, all by logic and sound arguments with supporting evidence and intent if criminal. It's then not at the whim of any one person but by the decision of 12 unanimous jurors. It's not perfect as it's arbitrerd by man, the master of error, and we still seek vengeance and retribution for such offenses which is cruel and unusual.
