Economy & Environment

in #economy5 years ago

When the economy develops the capacity for rapid growth many new difficulties arise. From the economic growth and sustainable development perspective, we have to decide how we cope up with those difficulties.

The human survival depends on the presence of flora and fauna. We understand the environment around us as trees, water, air, and multiple natural variables. The environment is directly connected to nature. There is now a need to make environment-related information practical so that the public can comprehend the issue readily.

Life is not sustainable without a sustainable environment.

In a scenario so uneven, society needs to fulfill its obligation and accountability. So environmental awareness in society has to be developed.

Economic development is necessary because it is essential to care for millions of hungry individuals vis-a-vis saving natural resources, most of which are still renewable. We can not expect developing nations to share the same environmental awareness as developed countries as they are facing more serious struggle for survival with hunger and poverty.

However, we have already wasted and destroyed vast quantities of natural resources, putting the planet in the danger of becoming incompatible with life. For our kids and grandchildren, we must maintain the planet in a sustainable state if not as pristine as we received from our ancestors.

Poverty and environmental damage are often connected. The destruction of the rainforest forces indigenous peoples to move to urban slums. Polluted water may fail the crop. Climate change is already transforming fertile fields into coastal regions of desert. Floods are becoming coming in areas where hundreds of millions live. If developing nations want a future for their population, they must choose sustainable development.

Another aspect in which economic growth is necessary is the population growth. Unchecked population growth as much the planet as it affects a nation. Sub-Saharan Africa's poverty and environmental issues are mainly the consequence of fast population growth that puts restricted resources under pressure. At the same time there is an example of China. While following a "one-child" per couple policy, China became affluent. Limiting population growth leads to better living standards and maintains the environment.

Therefore, being environment friendly while also maintaining a balance between environment and economy is essential for survival of humanity. If we don't pay attention to the safety of the environment now, then the future of coming generations will be dark.
