Last year I put this post out with some facts and figures, so as to demonstrate the potential power of Steem in the world economics.
Lately, I feel as if many still haven't figured it out, or seen the potential we truly hold in our economy that is an intricate part of our entire ecosystem.
The GLOBAL picture is HUGE!
So I will copy paste the entire post below again, for all those who missed it the first time or forgot about it.
HOWEVER, I would kindly ask that you first watch this video prior to reading the post.
Rather dangerous when a totalitarian regime abuses poor countries to gain votes on an international powerhouse level!

I'm not going to beat around the bush here, straight to the points:
Did you know that over THREE BILLION PEOPLE LIVE ON LESS THAN $2.50 US a DAY?

Did you know that we are not talking exclusively those countries that we often refer to as "Third World". No, there are many people in the former Eastern Block (former communist/socialist countries) living on these types of inhumane figures.
Did you know that many of these former Eastern Block countries are now members of "The European Union"?

Believe it or not, this is a fact. How do I know?
Well as it turns out, I have spent over two decades in a part of the "former" Eastern Block and know first hand from many a person from many a "former" Eastern Block nation what the very painful truth is.
True these people are not the majority of the above listed "OVER THREE BILLION" but they do exist in every city and town of the former Eastern Block.
So don't go automatically "assuming" that only "Third World" countries have high rates of poverty.

According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.
I'm not going to continue with these stats and facts, anyone who has access to this post has access to THE TRUTH and to all the facts and stats.
CAN STEEM BE THE REVOLUTION THAT THIS WORLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR?
YEST IT CAN.
IT CAN BE ANYTHING WE MAKE IT.

Feel like you can't change the world?
Sure, this is true, no one man can do this. However if you have ever heard the saying "Think globally, act locally" then remember that there is someone near by who is less fortunate than many of us who are reading this.
THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN AND THE FRONT END APP THAT WE KNOW AS "STEEMIT" ARE NOT OFFERING "HAND OUTS"!
WE ARE OFFERING A SOLUTION!
A solution that can literally change those figures listed earlier in this post.
It all depends on us, each and every one of us.
So, while some may be obsessed with making millions of dollars, there are those among us who are obsessed with seeing changes occur in this world where we can help make the quality of life change immensely for so many people.
When you see a fellow Steemian making money be proud of the fact that you too are a part of THIS REVOLUTION that we know as STEEM.
As the word spreads so too shall the number of new Steemians to whom $2.50 US a day = LIFE!
The number of people who shall become financially independent and be able to offer their children a better quality of LIFE!
Help another person today and you have given a human being an opportunity to believe in humanity again.
This may sound like a rant.
NO IT ISN'T.
IT IS THE REALITY OF WHAT STEEM HAS TO OFFER TO HUMANITY.
If one person who reads this thinks about it and starts realizing the potential we have here, this post was a success!

The influence gained from China's loans and investments in Africa is scary. It's naturally understandable (thanks to info in the video) that the infrastructure provided via the loans and introduction of business would sway the vote to align with those of the People's Republic of China. Despite knowing there is an underlying agenda...😢

In my opinion unless ad revenues can start to be shared among active content creators then a continual downward pressure on the STEEM exchange rate will be felt by the users you speak of selling off and deflating STEEM until they walk away when it is in the dumps. Pethaps we are at that point.
This has been my experience with the @devcoin project after introducing a wiki that paid for content contributions.
Our focus should be to bring value into the project and to plug the bleeding. HF21 seems to have made some efforts in that regard.
There are many potential additions that can be added to any front end.
There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone from improvising and adding further value for/to their front ends clients.
