Using A Multi-Channel Strategy To Create Awareness (The Path To Buying Journey)

in #ecommerce3 years ago

Retail websites or online shops were the most common source of initial product awareness, cited by nearly a third of consumers, and online advertisements were cited by 15 percent. At the same time, physical shops were the second most popular source of awareness, cited by 22 percent of consumers.

Ecommerce is clearly far from being an online-only affair?

Both online and offline channels are effective in creating consumer awareness and demand, especially when they are used together. This is true for both corporate-controlled channels (shops, websites, advertising), as well as third-party sources of information. After websites, shops or online advertising, the most common sources of product awareness were online reviews, talking with friends, social media & search engines.

Selling things online is extremely complicated and multi-faceted, but most people think it's just posting things online, putting a price tag on it, then making sales.

I totally agree on the infographic that you have posted along this article. It explains this concept really well.
