Jaded Grace, a story of personal transformation
On my first introduction post - https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@teahna/truth-bliss-and-euphoria-by-teahna, I mentioned that I was a published author.
I also mentioned I left my past behind, which I did, and also started using my spiritual given name, Teahna. I rarely share my memoir, Jaded Grace, a story of personal transformation, written under Shannon Nicole.
My story is about my journey through the dark night of the soul, working as a stripper in the sex industry, addicted to drugs, an alcoholic and craving the desperate attention of a neglected and abused child. It details how I came to the end of that journey through a suicide intention and a succession of intense spiritual awakenings that included the surfacing of repressed memories and lifting the veil into a consciousness of Oneness. My story is a journey of recovery and reclamation of the Self.
I wanted to share this now because I know my story can help others. In fact, that was what it was written for. And, to celebrate the power of forgiveness and that after almost 23 years of no contact with my dad, we connected and released the past together. Now, our relationship has begun anew. I am so delighted to extend the peace, love, and freedom to a man who, similar to me, was abandoned, abused and rejected by his family and simply passed the pattern on to me. No more! I, we, broke the cycle.
