Dustsweeper Problems - Curation Strategy - Steem Fall - 241

Going by the comments on my last post Steem Flaw? - 240 and after doing some research it appears @dustsweeper is missing some votes. I am also not sure if it is still returning 100% on the upvotes anymore.

I guess I will have to adjust my curation strategy again since some or a lot of of my upvotes may not be counting.

It seems like the Steem pump Tim was doing failed.
10% in an Hour ?

I’m still using dust sweeper per your suggestion but I don’t track it closely

You might want to start paying attention to your comments and watch it a little better. It was returning 100% which was amazing but I'm not sure it still is.

Not sure I know the math to even know if it’s returning 100% or not

It would be tricky. You'd probably have to send it .1 SBD at a time to try and figure out how much you get in votes.

It's not giving 100 % the formula was adjusted.

Quote from dusty :

With the big price drop, Dustsweeper votes were getting 50% more profitable than advertised. Consider that a small Dusty Gift. :) But we have now implemented a dynamic model that will adjust according to market conditions.

Upvotes received will stay the same and transfers will still be doubled when added to your account, but the amount subtracted from your balance will fluctuate.

So currently a $0.03 @dustsweeper vote, will cost you around $0.045.

Seems like they would at least have a positive return.

Yeah, I 'm unsure about the situation. Seems that the Dustsweeper conversion of the payment you send it, is now 'dynamic' (= changes all the time)

I'll have to watch your account to see how well it works. It might work better for you if there is a 2 upvote a day limit since you don't comment that much.

Seems like it really does only 2 a day per user!

That's really crappy. Maybe it is low on vote power? Steemit should delegate to it.

Its been 2 a day for awhile. I asked a few weeks back in one of the dusty topics and was told dusty was overworked can only give 2 a day on average.

Hmm, you must be losing a lot of your upvotes :(

You could use bots when you get upvotes. I used to use a bot on every single one of my comments even if I didn't get any other upvotes.

You got a 5.88% upvote from @joeparys! Thank you for your support of our services. To continue your support, please follow and delegate Steem power to @joeparys for daily steem and steem dollar payouts!

I've chatted with @danielsaori (the creator) about the 2 votes a day deal. Yes, as @rentmoney has pointed out, @dustsweeper is overworked.

The challenge of the project comes from the fact that it has to use liquid funds to upkeep the SP rental.

He has a plan in the works to make it more sustainable. However, significant raw SP delegations will easily resolve any issue, including the two votes per day, etc.
