What would you prefer as a contest prize, SBD or SBI(Steem Basic Income)? Why?
Furthermore, which do your think relates more to the longevity of the platform? SBD which can be taken directly from the platform and exchanged or SBI which relates to upvotes on the works of the prize winners?

Sorry because I'm responding directly without answering it by creating video.
Actually, I will always support SBI. Because SBI encourages us to do something new constantly through giving my upvote. But SBD does not do it, in many cases we see that by SBD some people are buying vote in their low quality post. So my interest is SBI. Thank you.

I agree with you and great point, helping to inspire quality content creation is a positive aspect of the SBI prize. Some it may be the only votes they can get on their works particularly when just starting out on here helping to start the visibility on what they will create, support and encouragement for creation itself.

I would rather go for SBI.
As the liquid SBD can always be transferred/exchnaged/withdrawn in any case and as of right now .The upvote would give some push to move forward and in a way continuous profits :)
While if I go for SBD I would convert it to steem and than again power it up.
Great point, so you prefer to have the incoming vote on your work on a consistent basis over powering your account up further. As one who is trying not to self vote I agree that’s an added bonus.

I think it would be better to spend the Steem to power up winners' accounts, instead of SBDs or SBIs. This way you can reward them directly, at the same time good for the entire Steem ecosystem too.
Yea I get yea, I could use the secret convert function with SteemConnect to lower SBD taking out of circulation at same time. Now would you suggest through delegation of SP or by directly sending them Steem?

Directly power up their account (not delegation). It's called transfer to someone else's vesting.
That must be one of those outside the steemit interface like converting sbd - steem? Do it though SteemConnect somehow I imagine?

You can do it within the Steemit interface. Here's how -
I would prefer SBI because it goes back to the ecosystem and help the upvotes to other content creators. SBD are those who wants short term gains. At this point of time, when steem price is bearish, we should invest back into SBI. When your going for SBD, you are actually driving the steem price lower. That’s what I think and analysis.

Yes, I agree with the SBI as a long term investment in the users creation but some would want SBD for holding and powering up, if you wait the exchange rate could drastically increase like before. But right now we should be exchanging the SBD with the secret convert command which will erase the SBD and help the price of Steem via less SBD debt while still getting you the pegged value of exchange which currently is at a profit.

SBI, anytime, any day.
Reason : SBD can be taken out of the system, while SBI encourages the sustainability of the steem ecosystem by making sure the steem stays here and it circulate.
