Hey SteemSquad and DTubeNation!
Do you struggle with this question as well? When it comes to money vs passion it’s a very tough decision because we need a balance for both.

Whenever you can! lol Steemit is my fulltime job right now. I might go back to regular work soon though. Doesn't it suck being a rent slave? I bet your rent is more than all of my monthly expenses combined.
haha probably. I love the freedom of being able to work to the shops or ride anywhere in the cbd and work!
You're going to do it soon and go full-time creator! I know it! hahaha
When you talk about money vs passion - for me....honestly, my entire life, I have followed JUST my passion. Regardless of money. And for a while, it got me to the point of...well...BROKE. hahaha - in the end, it paid off though :)
Follow it brotha! Follow the smooth face
You hustler. I appreciate You
Great post, I have this dilemma all the time. Sacrificing money, working for a smaller company to pursue my passion. I took the money once before and I dreaded going to work every day. You could always make some money for a while but in the end happiness is what we all strive for. If you can find your passion with high pay, well that's the golden ticket. Smaller companies cannot pay as much but are far more enjoyable in the creative fields.
I agree, staying inside sends you mad. I ran a business from home and still do part-time. Working from home can become very boring with no other co-workers. The postman will become your new best friend :)
hahaha the postman. It's good to see you've found your balance! Would you say you're way happier now?
Yes, I can spend more time enjoying my life. There are some moments I question it, when a colleague offers almost double your current pay packet;). Nevertheless, I am happier with the flexibility I have with my current employer. I can still pay off my unit, though I cannot spend excessive amounts. Surfing is practically free which is great.
Most of the time when we get more money than required we just buy more shit we don't need haha
Very true, like a lambo with bitconnect haha
Yeah brother, if you go full time now then you have to live very minimalistic man...for sure and yes, we all have expenses and especially when you have lived having everything and all of a sudden you to cut that and that and that...it will be painful, but then again I would ask myself if this is really the value you want to give to the world? If you follow your passion then the money will come, but it will be a question of a matter of time. Some passion you can follow, but it will be damn hard and some not. All of the artistic things such as filmmaking, acting, music, will be difficult to make a good living off of. But if it really means a lot to you then you would do it. Again, it will depend on the personality of the individual as well. But, for me (and trust me that I have asked a looooooooot of people concerning this topic) I have found out that if I died someday, would I be happy working something where I make money enough for myself? or follow my passion and giving to the world my real value? Now, obviously, if dtube wouldn't have existed, things would have looked a bit differently for me because I would have had to get a job (or else I wouldn't live :D), but since dtube exists and I'm able to give my value to the world and earning as well...that is something really valuable! Yes, it's not a lot of money, but I realized that I would feel bad working something else just for the money...that's a waste of time for me. However, if someday, dtube doesn't exist anymore and the whole thing breaks down and I don't get upvotes anymore or something just bad happens, I will have to find a job, but I will still be happy knowing that I have followed my passion and have given my part and value to the world. My value. We are born to do something on this planet. Yes, we all need money...I can't deny that...but I consider this as "expanding my creativity" so it's a win win for me. It's an opportunity. It's a gift. You can call it whatever you like, but it's something fascinating. So, it all boils down to the individual and personality and happiness :)
Winny out...for now ;)
PS: Remember that it's all YOUR fault Lao Tzu
It was a beautiful paragraph until the ending quote haha. By working you are contributing to the world. If everyone followed their passions, no one would want to come fix your internet problems or clean toilets or make shitty food at restaurants. We need the balance
Yes, we need the balance that's true, but the question is if they were they were presented with that opportunity? How were they raised? What do THEY want in life? I don't think that everyone will follow their passion because like I have mentioned...we are individuals with unique thoughts and perceptions. And thank god! It's like that.
Winny out...for now ;)
When you get to a point where you your misery is bringing those you work with down, that's when it is time to leave.
I like this answer. It's on point
Good stuff again mate.!
Thanks, Kenny!
Since I discovered steemit platform I believe when I become a super whale here on steemit with about 150,000sp . Then I will quit my day job @kevinli
Being a shale is more than 500,000 SP I believe. What you're going for is an "orca" haha
Great thought. I have been in ventures where I knew if I just grinded a little harder I could go full time. However, while I would be able to be home more with my family, and pay my bills, what about my 401K or health, vision, and dental benefits? We often dont think about these things.
Very much so! I gotta go see a dentist soon haha.
Man, if you're happy doing both keep doing it man!!
That's the plan for now!
