Wednesday Walk - Driving to walk to sail
In this edition of the Wednesday Walk I am trying to hit many birds with one stone. Here are the birds:
- Beg @tatoodjay for forgiveness for letting Wednesday get away from me and cause me to post this on Thursday!
- Launch the Canadian sailing season in style
- Post some video, word and photography art for consideration by an awesome new service I discovered yesterday @diytube
- Represent my family @steemitbloggers/Powerhouse Creatives and flex my vlog muscles as I like to do with @dcooperation
- Make you laugh by including my bloopers again

It is generally cold as we start the sailing season begins as the air is warming up nicely, but the deepest great lake is still pretty close to freezing. So, even if we don't fall off the boat, the breeze gets very brisk having traveled across the entire lake and dropping to the water temperature.
All the sailors are in their Foulies (foul weather gear) and working together even before the sailing begins. The big man on the left is probably contemplating the bit of equipment he dropped to the bottom of the lake erroneously.
The first day is often spent assembling the boat and putting the screws in place. Here, we are assembling the outhaul (which pulls the main sail back to the end of the boom) and attaching it to the big main sail.
I had to post a pic of the club boats and a sky that doesn't look so cold. Nice Canadian flag in the middle.

Love the bloopers and you passed my ship in the harbour the first on the left black and white 👍 and you were driving your Wednesday walk for half off the blog so it’s movement Monday too 😭
Yah the big one was pretty awesome looking. I suggested we go sailing on that on instead when the weather was as cold as this.

First off never a need to beg for forgiveness, I do say to post on Wednesday if possible and thats a guideline not a rule
Some cool shots a video, your right a lot of money tied up there for sure, Unlike so Many from New Zealand I have never got into Sailing myself, but i do support our Americas cup team, the caps I wear are wither the Team NZ Americas cup cap or an Allblacks rugby cap :)
As always fun to watch the video to the end to catch the bloopers :)

Yah I can never tell if it is too windy to hear as the mic on my phone is not greatvehwn that happens. Hopefully the breeze warms up.

Ohhh the weather definitely doesn't look sail friendly haha :D I'd rather spend 3 hours just assmbling those screws then going out on the open water where wind is craazy :D
