Anyone know a work around for uploading large files to dtube (Issue)
I recently made a documentary that youtube may deem controversial and was wanting to back it up on dtube. I uploaded the first time at 1080p 60fps 41 mins long and 3.6 Gb mp4. This started to upload but once it started uploading to IPFS the progress bar stopped and wouldn't progress even after 6 hours of waiting.
After a few tries later and rendering smaller and smaller file sizes I kept getting the same result. I even got the size down to 720p 25fps and a much lower bitrate to drop the size to 637 mb mp4 with no luck.
I love the dtube concept and still promote it but not being able to uplaod larger file sizes is a big issue. I'm not sure of a work around but there has to be one as I've seem videos well over an hour on dtube before.
Please let me know what any of you may find out!
Not that it solves the actual issue, but what about breaking it up into parts?
If all else fails I will do this.
Are you uploading via Google Chrome? That has worked for me when I upload and previously I uploaded the hour long Tapestry of Terror vid and it worked fine. The upload was relatively fast then, compared to You Tube uploading time.
On a related note, I have had a problem with my archive disappearing posts from my main DTube channel page. I have uploaded over 45 videos but right now my channel archive shows only 15 videos there. The rest are showing deep down on my Steemit stream but not in the main Dtube channel archive itself.
Thus, a few glitches going on. You can also present you question to @heimindanger

Yeah I really like the idea of dtube. But I'm having issues again uploading. Hopefully they will make it work better soon.
