RE: Interview With a Homeless Guy (Whose Story May Elicit Sympathy AND Judgement)
Thank you for making this interview and share it with us. I think it is extremely important to raise the awareness about homeless people and their background stories.. there are too many biased people out there and nobody is helping people in danger and poverty.
Man his story is heavy. And his statement about the government and society leading people to end in robbery and as murders was horrible and true. The society builds role models and these role models force people to get their money from somewhere else if they don't get a job in their profession. Sad but true in this world.. a public health care and a public minimum income in the USA would help these kind of people and their problems and of course as well the society because their banks/shops are not robbed so much.
This world is sad and absurdly disrespectful
Thanks for sharing!
You're very welcome, @tibfox. I tend to think back to decades past when there was less of a social safety net as well as less crime. It seems communities used to take care of themselves more. Of course, they weren't torn apart by hard drugs like they are now, either. So I also appreciate the problem as it is on the ground and the benefits of strategic charity--giving that doesn't just make people dependent, but giving that secures and empowers those in need.
