[Gladiators] - Slaves or Prized Athletes?
Gladiators were predominantly vegetarian.
I had someone question that the gladiators where in fact slaves so they were subjected to the lowest form of nutrition.
This does not make sense.
If gladiators were in fact slaves, it does not make sense to have your prized athletes, the entertainers, subjected to poor nutrition when they are the centre of attention.
I bet they were also used for wagering against each other.
Would you feed your prized race horse poor nutrition with the aim of winning?
I think not.
