Watch Painting a Dramatic Seascape #2 - Time Lapse Video - DTube video on DTube

This was the first time lapse video I have ever made. I painted this in 2015 and is of the wild sea in Piha, New Zealand. Piha is on the west coast near Auckland and there seems to always be a heavy swell and big waves, the beach is a surfers paradise.

I painted this in oils and the whole process including the pencil sketches and colour study took many weeks to complete.
