I completely understand the sentiment.
Being an artist, you do, I'm sure. Most people think I'm joking, when I say, I find hard physical labor easier than painting.. but its true! Doesn't mean I prefer it... only sometimes ;-)
I like to pile up the weeds and bag up those squelching intruders. I'm luckier than you though, I get fresh air while I'm doing it. Tear up, tear down, tear out, it clears the heart. M.
Working outside is an activity I truly enjoy.. wish I had more time for that and our back yard didn't look like a jungle :-b
This is a great alternative. People think that we are complaining for nothing. The lack of movement is our killer, eyes hurting. Sometimes i even forget to eat, let's not talk about the lack of sleep. I usually go out for a run or to the local fitness centre to make a couple of sets. Painting is work like any other even harder than some. I'm not victimising, i'm just sharing an experience.
I agree completely, and that's the point I'm trying to make here. Using that jackhammer all day, was probably the hardest thing I ever did, as far as physical activity, yet painting can be even more demanding!
In the middle ages, it was well known that painting is not the easiest task. i guess that's why some of the old masters were engineers inventors, scientists in general. It's hard just to paint all day.
Multi-talented. Good to work in different mediums. =)
