Santa Came Early This Year!

in #dtube5 years ago

Hey Dtube fam looks like Christmas came a little early this year. This is my "always a day late and dollar shy" entry for Market Friday stupendously hosted by @dswigle. I really appreciate how much effort you put into Market Friday.

I appreciate market friday posts as well, thanks for keeping that going @dswigle ! 👍

It is my pleasure @doitvoluntarily!

Pretty cool.

It sure does look like it is in great shape.

Enjoy @old-guy-photos

That definitely is a christmas level present.

I just ordered myself a D750 (Nikon) and a 70-200 f/2.8 (Tamron) - I can't wait for them to get here!

I'll have tele and mid handled on full frame between that and my 50mm f/1.4

Next stop, a 24-70mm!

For the low range, I've still got my D7000 (not a full frame) and a 10-20 and a 18-200. (Both crop lenses)

Pokey Petunia's here. But I guess late is better than never (maybe). I'm not really jealous, it just looks that way...but NICE lens. And so clean for used. That should be a blast to mess around with. Love that it has a tripod mount. Always get a chuckle out of these lenses, because you actually put the little camera on the end of the lens, kind of as an afterthought.
The photos you took, and the bird below, really are nice. Some day I plan on upgrading to a new body, and then some lenses. So many somedays. Enjoy your new Christmas come early toy. I'm sure it won't be hard.
Oh, and I appreciate how careful Ben is unwrapping it. A chip of the OGP block for sure. You done good.

I must say that your shots are a lot more amazing that what I am doing with my lens. As you said, it has opened up a whole new world to you. I expect I will be seeing some even cooler stuff coming from your site.

You will use it quite a bit more than I have been doing. You hike out every day and honestly, that lens is a chore for me to carry it and others at the same time. You are a lot bigger and stronger than I am and probably have no trouble angling it and holding it. I am still mighty awkward that way. Perhaps you can give me some pointers.

Anytime I can get used from B&H, it just doesn't make sense to need it shiny brand new. The warranty is awesome and I have never been steered wrong yet. So, good luck with your new toy and I expect to see great things out of the Paul & Ben team.

Sorry, I voted too early. You know how excited I get when I see a new #MarketFriday post.

#MarketFriday loves you!

!tip 1.0 You get extra because I voted too early!

I hope to use it for some stock video photography. I do know OMG you need a tripod for this, it is a beast! I know you said you got the baby brother but I cant remember what the range was on that one. This seems to be great for birds. Here is one, just for you :) Thanks for the tip. You know I always look to see if you vote or comment. I know I have been not doing a good job on replying to you. I really am very sorry and will be sure to make it right from now on.

I have the same lens. The 100-400 and it didn't use a tripod for the air show. I absolutely could not as the planes move too fast. Birding, it is the only way to go.

The new case I got was for its baby brother. Is that what you are talking about?

Don't worry about it. I'm over it.

I am asking what is the baby brother size?

I am not over it and I still feel bad. I should have been paying better attention.

Oooh a nice 100-400 lens. Have great fun with it. I also wanted a 100-400 for my animal shots but started with a 70-300 lens and a saving plan to get such a bad boy later. Looking forward to your clicks with this new lens.

That is a good spying equipment. OK, never had a camera with this kind of power but always think of getting one.
