Like I mentioned last time in my video I am still not sure about it.
I have to say that I am losing interest in Dtube... Because I can't see any improvement, can you?
It is about the people but not many people are in my niche, so it also depends on your interest... it makes me wonder why not many people are joining the network, I got some friends in the beauty community, and they joined. But it is all very confusing for them. I guess the main reason is that it is not user-friendly.
The good news is that I find people like you which I really like and maybe that's why I am still here 😊 I see that not many people are "consuming" the content.
I am not only active on Steemit; I like to share my content on many places, well I guess it's because of the tutorials, and I want that people can find them. Otherwise, if they are getting deleted or won't pop up on Google, it doesn't make any sense.
I am wondering if you are you only on Steem?
I recently read some updates from @DTube and it gives me hope that it is not going to be status quo but they are working on it.
I cannot say I understand the technicalities of Video hosting and I don't want to either so but I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt that things will get better.
It is definitely not ready for mass adoption especially since the masses are used to the convenience of YouTube, FB, Insta and the like. But I am hopeful these things will be ironed out.
I started out on YouTube but it was more a family channel and my Mum fell sick and I ended up spending a lot of time taking care of her and the consistency suffered.
And then on Steem it became mostly me because of the engagement and the blogs. And the content has changed somewhat. So I am trying to find the balance between the two and still deciding how to make it work.
I find at the moment mostly guys and the older folk(that includes me) on the platform. But with time, when more and more people start coming in, you will be one of the pioneers for make-up. And because your intent is to share your talent and expertise, you are doing right by sharing it everywhere you can.
Thank you so much for the kind words. It really is the people that keeps us going eh... Sure there are some jokers too, but where there's people... there will be all kinds.
Keep doing what you are doing. Don't give up on DTube yet. We need the beautiful people on the platform too :)

Hm, where did you get the updates from? Because I heard some rumors that they want to leave Steem 🤔
Same here, I just talked to some programmers, and they said that they are not caring about the content giving only the same people upvotes regularly it's "à la tête du client" Like the customer's head, and not how much effort you put into it, etc. On Youtube, you can see that if you are putting much effort in your videos and if you promote them people like them.
I am hopeful for Steem as well, but not for these Dapps I guess they will be replaced with better services.

Yes, that's why I got some people to join, but they don't like it because it has absolutely no engagement in our niche. If you are a content creator like you are, you want people to watch your video and comment, or at least like and share it with their friends so that you know that you did an excellent job so that you can grow, etc. 😀
Are you trying to get people to join and how are they reacting? (Especially the woman...)

I've heard both sides arguing the voting ethics.
But YouTube comes with its fair share of challenges. I have watched many arguments there too in regards to demonetisation and communication.
I guess it is what we want to work with (and for how long ;p)
For sure on the content creator and eyeballs on your work. This was my initial contention that I left after the first couple of months and of course DLive made it easy to. And even though I had heard you get decent upvotes, I still wanted my videos to be watched. I took so much pride in the work I put in.
Now I just look at it as a hobby and what I'd like to do. I guess also because my YT channel has hardly any views too.

I do mention what I do with friends more so now. But Crypto in my country is in the grey. So that is the challenge I face. I have brought a couple including family but the younger ones want to be where the crowd is, where their friends are. So it is a slow uphill battle.
But I am hoping that the kinks on DTube will be sorted out soonest. But now with this new information, I'll take it one day at a time.
I do love Actifit and that has become the app I post from and then clean up on steemit. Actifit because I need to get exercise into my routine, Doc's orders. But there are so many DApps to be proud of like Partiko and Esteem (my go to to blog because of the ease), DrugWars and SteemMonsters, Communities and Steemians that work on building the platform...

Yeah, Dtube... It's weird when I am recording 10min videos, and I am only talking about random stuff, they give me an upvote, and when I'm putting lots of effort into it 1day+ research+recording+editing, they ignore it lol. I am not getting it...
Youtube is different, most of the videos where I put lots of effort into it are ranking, and I am getting views every day. Of course, you need the keyword tool and see what people are looking for, but at least they can find it on Google!
However, the payout on Youtube is ridiculous. Not sure how many views you need but to get some money out of it but I guess a lot! Also, I am not sure what it takes to get more subscribers, I am getting them daily, but when I compare it with my views, then I have no Idea what I am doing wrong. (I guess it would be a good idea to buy some so that it looks like more lol...) But it depends on what you want to achieve, if you are doing it only for fun, okay, but if you're going to build a business, it is a great way to put your content out there.
Also, I want to help people. I worked as kind of a "social worker." Three years with homeless and drug-addicted people, well I know this is different from what I am doing now I know. However, I still have that feeling with makeup (if that makes any sense lol) The problem in my niche is that most of it is fake and I want to change it, not sure how I should do it...
Also, I can't stop... there are a few subscribers who are requesting videos all the time so I want to help them lol. And of course nobody else will watch them, but when I am doing reviews about products everybody wants to watch it that's strange... But I don't like to it, but you know it's not about what we want but what they want 😜
Anyway, I went way off topic lol...
So, back to the topic... I see so many people posting with "Actifit" and I never really looked into it. What do you mean by Doc's orders? I mean why do you need to do it?

YouTube... just keep going especially if you are getting subscribers every day. The more you get the easier it gets to grow...
From the last updates of YouTubes terms if I am not mistaken:
Every 1000 views you get 2 Dollars. I think you have to hit 1000 subs first before you can monetise. As for ads that pop up on your videos, there's a percentage you get off it. Watch time is also calculated and if your viewer views the ads that pop up on your video. I believe 10 minute and longer videos are encouraged.... these are the ones I can remember off hand.
I have high cholesterol, so the Doc has given me 6 months to workout and bring down the reading otherwise he will put me on meds. I don't want to go on meds.
Actifit pretty much rewards you with Steem and Tokens for your activity. So it is the perfect app for me now ;D

Oh, I didn't know that you can bring it down with workout. I thought that it would be related to food, to have a healthy diet, etc.
The medicine isn't necessarily a bad thing my father took it as well, and it helped him a lot; he could stop it after a while... But always better to try it the "natural way" that's for sure!
HAHA, it wouldn't be the perfect app for me most of the time I am in the office. I do about 30-60min morning walk everyday and that's pretty much it. Rest is only bus,car walking into the office,clients etc. lol

Neither did I until I the last visit. Maybe it's something in the blood test. And when I googled, I can't remember what it was, there it was exercise.
I am not really surprised, as I eat to live and not the other way around. But I hardly exercise and then thanks to Steemit, I am even more on sedentary... so all of this needs to change :)
It counts all activity, including you walking around the office. And your 30 to 60 minutes walk will definitely clock in.

Yes that's true 😊 I believe in Steem, but some of the Dapps are just useless like they are for now, and I think people will always have a bad taste to it.
Maybe you are too young but the same thing happened when the web started 20 years ago.

The technology is on the infancy stage and is going to improve over time.
Yes, that's true; however, this doesn't necessarily mean that all the Dapps will survive.
