Sola: The Next Generation Social Platform That Pays You

Did you hear about Sola? I’ve only just discovered this crazy new social media platform. It is pretty similar to SteemIt: it pays you to use it.

Earn By Posting

On Sola, you can post anything you like: pictures, questions, polls, short articles, links to external websites... the sky is the limit.
And - just like on SteemIt, the more reviews (“endorsements") your content gets, the more you earn.
On Sola, all those endorsements are converted into tokens you can later exchange to cash.

I've only just signed up - for the record: it's free - so I'm still figuring out how it works.

Register For Free & Earn

Once you've created your free account, you get 5 SOL for free.
(SOL is an ERC20 token built on top of the Ethereum blockchain. The smart contract that powers the SOL token has only just gone live. Unfortunately the token sale is over.)

To create a new post, you use the button in the top right corner.



Once clicked, you get to see this screen:

Here, you can add a picture, a link, poll, a short article... basically anything. To make your post go live, you need to click the 'Post' link in the top right corner.

Below, you can see an example of a post I made. You'll probably notice it hasn't been endorsed by anyone, and no comments have been made yet.

By clicking the 'Skip' button, you can move around to see other people's posts and choose to endorse them or not.

The System Behind Sola

When you sign up, you receive 100 “AP,” or action points, which you can use to perform actions on Sola.
For example: it'll cost you 1 AP to comment on someone else’s card. It'll cost you 5 AP to post your first card of the day, 15 AP to post your second one, and 25 to post a third one.
The cost keeps going up to prevent that people would be spamming the network.
Every day the system resets and you get the opportunity to post a new first card for only 5 AP.

You're supposed to visit other people's cards and endorse the ones you like. By hovering over the 'Endorse button' you can decide whether you want to endorse a card with 5AP up to 100AP.

Comments can be endorsed in the same way, except for the fact that you can only endorse by 1 to 10AP.

No need to say that the more active you are on the social platform, the more AP you will earn.

AP on itself is worthless, but from the moment people spend their AP to endorse your posts or comments, it is converted into SOL. And SOL is like Steem: it's a redeemable token which can be converted to all the big cryptocurrrencies.

Earn Twice

So, by making good posts on Sola, you can earn money - in the same way you do at SteemIt.

Now, I'll let you in on a little secret...
You can use your SteemIt posts to make new cards on Sola.
That way, you don't have to do any extra work, while you can earn double.
